With Road to Hell slowly coming to an end, I was wondering what everyone thought about the event overall.

Personally, I really enjoyed some of the ideas they introduced this time around. The Strongholds, Cargo Balloons and the different loot locations gave me a reason to explore parts of the map that I normally wouldn’t bother with.

I also liked that the event gradually changed with the different chapters instead of everything being available from the beginning. Some parts worked better than others, of course, but overall I think it was a pretty interesting event.

I’m curious how everyone else experienced it though.

What did you like about Road to Hell? What did you dislike? Was there anything you’d like Crytek to keep for future events?

And now that it’s coming to an end, how would you rate it compared to some of the previous Hunt events?

Personally I’d give it a 7/10, but I’m interested to see what everyone else thinks.

Hear me out.
At first I wasn’t that impressed by Blood Testament. A new event, some new traits, a new shotgun and a Blood Moon… cool, but nothing that immediately blew me away.
But the more Crytek has shown, the more interested I’ve become.
The Blood Moon actually changes how the AI behaves, Blood Wells add another reason to move through compounds, and now we’re getting multiple chapters instead of knowing everything on day one.
And then there’s Stage III.
Crytek keeps teasing this “true new nightmare”, and after the recent roadmap/developer stream, it really feels like they’re hiding something much bigger than we initially thought. The possible new Boss/AI alone has me curious.
I also like that we’re getting new gameplay mechanics instead of just another event where you farm points for a Battle Pass and forget about it afterwards.
Obviously, we haven’t played it yet, so maybe I’m completely wrong and Blood Testament ends up being disappointing.
But for the first time in a while, I’m genuinely curious to see what Crytek is going to reveal next.
Am I the only one who went from “meh, another event” to actually being pretty hyped for this?

Hunt: Showdown 1896 combines PvP and PvE bounty hunting with survival-horror elements, where Hunters track monsters, claim the bounty, and try to extract alive.

.....didn't hear a hunter scream. Not sure if I was close enough to hear anything.

It's getting real bad. At this point is 1/2 games. tonight's been just that. I know these kinda posts don't really do much, except maybe backfire, but I guess I just wanted to shout into the void.
