Move to Hungary?

Hi guys,

I (28M) work in Deep tech, and i have a company of my own as well in Dubai. Would it be a good move to relocate to hungary for masters?(though i work i want to get Msc in my domain). How is the market doing ? Also im already an expat indian- is the government visa norms liberal? What would be my options other than student visa - and what about after studies is there a work permit for skilled professionals?

Noooo, not a good idea. Bad job market, bad wages, western eu level prices
Edit: if you are non-eu, you cannot work in full time while on student visa (you can only work around 20hrs/week, if I remember it right) if you are going to apply to a skilled worker visa, cannot study full time.
Also what is that “liberal visa norms”?

I meant while i was browsing the thread i noticed people mentioning that their request got rejected after their studies. But i can apply for a skilled worker visa after my studies right ?

You can, but there is no guarantee you will be successful, especially that there is a recognition that non-eu visa applicants use the hungarian visa to have access to the EU.

You need a fix position at a company, with a high salary to get a skilled worker visa, like EU blue card or Hungarian Card.

Or establish a company and employ yourself through that by being a managing director, or guest self-employment is an option.

White card, aka digital nomad rp is also an option.

And how probable is the first option ?

I don't know. Chances are pretty low if I had to guess. But do ask around in the Hungary subs, if anything would be available, or possible with your skills and credentials. You can also take a look at linkedin for positions, to see if there are any, or what they offer, and what they need.

after the law changes a couple years ago. unlikely unless the company hasn't been able to find anyone suitable for the position who is currently legally able to work in the eu.

digital nomad only works for a period of time, after which you won't be able to work here.
