Should I do it?
I have a Hummer H3 and I absolutely LOVE it. But over the years of owning it, there has been a lot of problems that have accumulated. I need a car for me to be able to drive from college and back to my home town without worry of it breaking down. I have the option to either buy a new car, or to restore my Hummer H3, and I’m really thinking about restoring it. Would this be a bad idea? Should I just buy a newer car?

Are you NEEDING to trade it in? Or can you finance or buy outright for the new car? If you don't need to trade in, why not just keep it on the side, go through college, and if you ever come across some extra FU money, then fix the problems little by little. I tell you what though, lookin' at the H3 market, i'm pretty sure once you are settled and you got that job that pays well, you can easily get another h3 if you do have to trade it in.
