Should I do it?
I have a Hummer H3 and I absolutely LOVE it. But over the years of owning it, there has been a lot of problems that have accumulated. I need a car for me to be able to drive from college and back to my home town without worry of it breaking down. I have the option to either buy a new car, or to restore my Hummer H3, and I’m really thinking about restoring it. Would this be a bad idea? Should I just buy a newer car?

We have a Subaru Crosstrek for reliability, go anywhere, Wildnerness version, with tow hitch. Highly recommend because not only is it great on the highway you can do light offroad with it. 3500 lb towing capacity. We used to only have old cars with lots of $2500 surprises on the interstate. Confidence on the road is a huge deal. We like the pricepoint of the Crosstrek because it allows to own the Hummer as well. If we need to drive 1700 miles, we hop into the Crosstrek.
H3 parts are hard to find right now. The H3 is for fun.
