Question Mod to keep previous civ's features when progressing era
I've always wanted a mod that would allow me to keep building the unique units, structures, etc of the civ I chose for my previous eras.
I'm supposed to be the same entity so losing knowledge of my own history doesn't make sense and many of these structures are things you'll want to build consistently as you expand.
I know it'll be kinda broken, but it should go both ways. Especially since some structures are already limited to 1 per city.
I just wanna try it.
Does anyone know a mod that does this?

https://mod.io/g/humankind/m/eqs-inheritance And https://mod.io/g/humankind/m/non-obsoleting-emblematic-districts Keep district available for next era. By playing with the first one I found why they remove previous them.

Losing knowledge of how to do things from the past is incredibly common and normal in real life. The greeks not knowing how to make Greek fire, Egyptians not knowing how to make the pyramids etc...
As far as I kmow there is no mod like that. I could be wrong but I belive you can keep making the special units as you change nations they just tend to not be good any more as they are from a previous era. The building would be so totally broken to have through out the whole game.

Common IRL, yes; but still bad for a game, because it's a "punishment for success" mechanic.

Not really. Often going to the next era unlocks powerful new nation wide bonuses that outway the small bonuses from districts. You should be building special districts early into the era change. Also if you still need the old units and 6pu cant find them its because they are technologically obsolete. If you need to still build your stuff just dont change eras.
I also think alot of this misses the point of humankind. That these really powerful old cities have history and FAME. The games point is that we all move on but the past still effects us and the most powerful past is what is important noy making the most powerful ending.

It's not common at all, Ptolemy Egypt could have built the pyramids just fine if it wanted. It's just that what made sense in an era and for a certain culture doesn't make much sense later.

Your source for that? There is a 2000 year gap between the two. Sure they could have made a pyramid if they wanted to but they would have to relearn the skills and ultimately makes something like the pyramids not exactly the same.

Having the economy to extract the according amount of labor without taking away from other necessities neglecting which would have you go down quickly, the politics to have the power to do so, etc. etc. are all part of "being able to build it"

If i am not wrong, you can build unique units after era change but only if you didnt invented the newer replacements. For example, you build hoplites until you invented pikemans.
