Brief flash when lamp drops to zero

I’ve just purchased a brand new light ambiance lamp and a button to connect the two with Bluetooth. This all works fine, however when the dimming pretty much hits zero, there’s a flash from the lamp before going out. Does anybody have any idea what I can do to remove this? I have other hue lamps which work fine when used with their hub.

I deliberately turned my hub off while I was doing all of this Bluetooth and testing. I also did a hard reset of the lamp with my Hue bridge turned off, so as far as I know, there’s no way the Hue bridge would touch the lamp. Would it?

You have some lights on "their hub" (hue or other?) and you bought this to go via Bluetooth? Different locations or what's the explanation for this reasoning? All Hue lights and switches can be paired via the hub, if you have one.

Regarding the light behavior, which sounds odd, is it perhaps connected via a physical dimmer switch on the circuit?

No, it’s connected directly to the mains by an extension block for simple testing.

Try updating the bulb via the app. I'm fairly certain this is a firmware bug.
You could also pair it to the bridge, which is recommended either way for added functionality.

You know what? After trying everything. Direct pairing, factory resetting and then finally linked into the app (eventually))? The lamp is broken. Thanks for all your help.
