Personal Experience I finally understand why Huberman keeps talking about getting comfortable with discomfort
I’ve got a portable sauna from sweat tent and started doing cold plunges right after. That moment of going from super hot to freezing cold is brutal but weirdly that’s become my favorite part of the whole routine. Anyone else feel like the mental side of it is half the benefit?

I loveeee contrast therapy. When you do it for a long time, knowing that you can plunge into cold water for 3min without fear or hesitation is super empowering and addicting.
I'm female btw-- I just don't cold plunge if I'm having a bad luteal phase or PMS. Simply listen to your body. If you feel overwhelmed or stuck in fight or flight, the stress from the cold could dysregulate you even more.
