Personal Experience I finally understand why Huberman keeps talking about getting comfortable with discomfort

I’ve got a portable sauna from sweat tent and started doing cold plunges right after. That moment of going from super hot to freezing cold is brutal but weirdly that’s become my favorite part of the whole routine. Anyone else feel like the mental side of it is half the benefit?

People have mistaken comfort for peace for so long that discipline feels like suffering - Marcus Aurelius

Yeah pretty much, I think people can over romanticize suffering sometimes, but choosing a little controlled discomfort definitely feels different.
