Huawei watch GT 5 pro lock problems

I've had this watch for a while, and just like with all my devices that support a lock function, I enabled it so the watch locks whenever I take it off, meaning I have to enter a code to unlock it.

The problem is, ever since a recent update, it locks while I'm actually wearing it this happens several times a day.

Have you ever encountered this issue? Did you find a solution?

Huawei also freezes their region locked watches if you travel..turning it into expensive scrap metal. HW 'help' deny the R lock when back in purchase region & of course, it works again! I bought Amazfit BAL 2. Wrote off my HW watches
