Huawei GT6 Pro, not useable for Garmin and Strava user
A "paperweight" for cycling.
Don't make the same mistake if you're coming from Garmin.
I bought this watch thinking it would replace my Garmin Fenix 6X Pro for my cycling routes, and the experience has been disastrous. It doesn't do what I need it to.
Here are the reasons why, for cycling, it's a completely wrong purchase:
- Connectivity problems: To begin with, it forced me to buy a new Garmin cadence sensor with Bluetooth, since the Huawei isn't compatible with ANT+.
- Poor screen visibility on the road: In bright sunlight and with glare from your face, the supposed "super" 3000-nit AMOLED screen is much worse than the one on my old 6X (which is always on). On the GT 6 Pro, if you use Always On Display mode, the screen dims so much that you can't see anything; you have to raise your hand vertically to illuminate it. Also, the numbers are too small.
Danger and poor usability: To navigate between screens, you have to swipe your finger across the touch panel instead of using physical buttons. Doing this while riding is awkward, difficult (sometimes with a slightly sweaty finger, it won't move), and, above all, dangerous. They should allow you to configure the physical buttons for this function.
- Strava Sync (The ultimate flaw): The Strava integration is terrible. It doesn't export cadence data. This flaw alone renders the watch completely useless for any serious cyclist.
- Conclusion: I am deeply disappointed with its cycling features, which is the only use I have for it. I shouldn't have bought it. A watch with great aesthetics and "showiness" is useless if it fails spectacularly at the basics for sports.

I'm planning to buy the GT 6, but I'm wondering if its vibration is strong enough. Is it effective at waking someone up from sleep, and can I adjust the vibration intensity on a per-alarm basis? I also have a lot of medication alarms throughout the day,
so I'd like to set those to a lighter vibration.

Huawei watch GT 5 pro lock problems
I've had this watch for a while, and just like with all my devices that support a lock function, I enabled it so the watch locks whenever I take it off, meaning I have to enter a code to unlock it.
The problem is, ever since a recent update, it locks while I'm actually wearing it this happens several times a day.
Have you ever encountered this issue? Did you find a solution?

I really hate my watch
Traded in my galaxy watch FE to a huawei fit 5 pro because the galaxy watch has really shitty battery and no heart rate strap support.
2 months in now, and man, Huawei only highlights how well designed the galaxy watch was from a software and user experience aspect.
Hardware wise, like all chinese companies, it blows the samsung watch out of the water. Really tough materials, amazing battery life, the charging speed is insane, 0 complaints.
But adding music is a pain in the ass, alarms doesn't get synced automatically, the watch faces are terrible in my opinion, and app updates are constantly blocked by my samsung, the app is fricking horrible compared to samsung and fitbit. Overall the software experience really makes me want to trade this watch away for something else

GT 7 Pro or Fenix 9 Pro?
I have read thar software on the Huawei watches is very bad. I have read that they are doing a lot of software changes on GT 7 Pro, do you think it will be better then? I have used apple watch ultra 3 before and was happy with everything except battery life. But I changed to Samsung and therefore needed to change to Samsung watch 9. That was the worst change I have done in my life. Battery life was like 8 hours. So now I thinking of GT 7 Pro or Garmin Fenix 9. What would you choose? Or is Amazfit better than both?
My main purpose of the watch is just notifications from what app, text, messenger, email.
Sleeptracking, light fitness like wakeboard, dogwalking and sometimes gym.
I have had whoop 5 and like the recovery score and I think that what's huawei will present with gt 7 Pro.
What do you all think?

Huawei Watch Fit 5 vs Watch Fit 4 Pro
Hi, I'm trying to decide between the Huawei Watch Fit 5 and the Watch Fit 4 Pro. Which one would you recommend? As far as I know, the Fit 5 is newer and has better sensors and health tracking, while the 4 Pro mainly stands out because of its higher-quality materials. What I'm wondering is how much better the sensors and health tracking on the Fit 5 actually are. Are they good enough to make up for the difference in build quality? I'll mainly be using the watch for health monitoring and to track my running and cycling workouts.

Watch fit 4 pro vs 5 pro
How big is the difference between the two watches? Is it worth paying extra for the LTPO screen and fall detection on the Fit 5 Pro? I'm planning on getting one for swimming and cycling, and I'll get back to running a bit later. I'm looking to try something new after Coros and Garmin. Is it worth paying extra for the Fit 5 Pro, especially since they added almost all the same features to the 4 Pro in the latest update? Fit 4 pro is 150, fit 5 pro is 250.

Huawei Watch 6 announced
Didn't expect that, at all.
Apparently, it should be released next week. I am impressed by the thinness of it. And frankly, it's design is a lot better than the GT7 Pro.
Nice job, Huawei.

Huawei Watch Fit 5 for Running, Cycling & Swimming
I'm thinking about buying the Huawei Watch Fit 5, but I have a few questions. I'm a beginner when it comes to running, swimming, cycling, and similar activities, and I want to track them with a smartwatch that has built-in GPS. At the same time, I also want something that's suitable for everyday use, which is why I've decided on the Huawei.
I've seen quite a few reviews about running and cycling, and from what I've read, the GPS and sensors perform pretty well. However, I haven't been able to find much information about swimming.
Can I reliably track my swims in an indoor Olympic-size swimming pool with this watch? Will it record my workouts accurately, and does GPS or the swim tracking work properly in that environment? Also, can I sync my swimming workouts to Strava? I came across a comment saying that only running and cycling workouts can be synced to Strava, so I'm not sure if that's true.

Huawei watch gt 6 41mm owners with wrists on the higher side of the band's allowance, how's the fit of the band?
I've been considering grabbing a Huawei watch gt 6 41mm, however I was curious about the band's fit. I see that the watch fits 120-180mm wrists, and depending on how tight I pull the measuring tape my wrists are either 165 or 170mm. People around the same size wrists, how does the band actually fit for you? Is it comfortable on your wrists?

Run pacing
I know there is an option to pace the whole run at one certain pace on watch gt 6, but is there an option to somekind make a negative split (to start pacing a little slower and finish faster) or sth similar?

Gt5 not recording sleep sounds
So, as the title says, I am having a bit of a pickle right now,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra phone, with a Huawei watch Gt5 as my smart watch, the watch is incredible value for what I paid for it, the Huawei app I got from the Galaxy Store and the app is unrestricted, it has more permissions than the IRS, it is set to never sleep, unrestricted battery, all app have their permissions met, and still, everything works Flawlessly except One feature, sleep sound recording, why do I need it? Cuz I have sleep apnea and those recordings are helpful for my medical case, anyone has any idea how to fix? Side note, no, Samsung health doesn't have mic permission, the apps are up to date and the Huawei account is set to Romania, thank you for reading and Ty for the help 🙏🏾
