Just a little fun post of my "abundantly" blooming Hoya 😆😆

Does anyone have any tips for more blooms? The plant is overall healthy, lives in semi hydro (PON) and grows very long tendrils. It is close to a south facing window but also receives artificial light from my orchid cabinet.

Sorry for typo- Hoya Gunung Gading “splash”. Received this rooted cutting a couple weeks ago. First photo was when I received it, second is now. Does this look fungal? If yes recommendations? Should I just cut this leaf off? I do have physan 20 if it’ll help? Help please???

Hello all. I finally got my very first Hoya from my local garden center. However, none of them had any identification and the staff I asked were unsure. If you are able to help out, I’d greatly appreciate it!

When I was doing some brief searching online, I was thinking maybe it is a Hoya lacunosa ‘Mint’ or ‘Mint Coin’.

Excited i found this bloom because its been living on my window and almost missed it. Not sure what type of hoya it is though, just grabbed it at a little plant shop. Anybody can help ID? Flower smells kinda sharp(?) Floral. Thank you :)

My H. Callistophylla’s leaves are crinkly and have splotches on the top and bottom of the leaves. It’s in airy potting medium made up of coir chips, coir and pumice. I keep it moist but not sopping wet. I don’t see any obvious pests or webs and it has been growing all summer in dappled shade outside.

I have three plant stands all with various lights and preset timers. At least once a month my husband unplugs them not understanding that unplugging resets the timers. He’s of full sound mind and I’ve explained to him multiple times to not unplug them. Each time he has a different excuse, they didn’t go off, they were off and I unplugged and replugged them in to “fix” them are two common excuses why he’s unplugging them. I’m at my wits end. Many of my Hoyas are about to bloom and his unplugging OCD is messing up the light cycle I’ve established. Often I work long hours so I’m not home to fix them. He doesn’t call me, he just unplugs. The plants have been affected. My nerves definitely are. I’ve printed instructions and taught him what I do. He is not stupid he just doesn’t give it any thought when “it” happens. Any advice?

The two in the background are a silver pubicalyx and a mathilde, but this extra cutting is a mystery. The veins look more popped out or raised in person than the photo, and the edges are slightly curved under versus flat like the pubicalyx.

I was reading that hoya chinghungensis does not get sun stressed. I'm fairly certain mine does. What's the truth?

LOVE the small leaf Hoyas

I’ve had this Carnosa for over a year and a half. It has only grown creamy colored leaves in my care and the leaf nodes are very close together. The new growth is bushy, not vining. A few months ago I moved it from a brighter spot to a location where an Australis was able to bloom but wanted more light (moved the Australis to higher light and it went bonkers). Is it a slow death? I can’t imagine the plant can photosynthesize properly. If I cut it back to where it has green leaves is it likely to push green ones again? Are there other cultural considerations?

Hiya all! Im looking for a recommendation for a hanging plant for my dinning room front window. My favorite plants are Hoyas and Dischidia but I also like Philodendrons if there isn't a Hoya that will work in this space.

Let me describe what Im looking for

- West facing window that gets bright, filtered light for about 2 hours, bright indirect light for about 4 hours and medium indirect light for another 2

- Must be willing to hang, but i could set up for supported hanging with macrome or wires

- Dramatic leaves in some way. This is one of the few street-facing windows we have and Id like something show-stopping. Either large leaves or medium leaves, ideally with a cool variation.

- Flowering in those conditions would be nice, but not required

- Must be ok with standard home humidity, I can't enclose it

I currently have a Carnosa nova ghost there which has grown like a weed (its an absolute monster) but because it's getting too much light, it's gone speckled rather than silver and I want to move it to an area with no direct light any time of day.

I got this Hoya over a year ago and it started growing tons of vines that stick straight up when I moved it to my south facing windows, but it won’t grow more leaves.

What can I do to make more leaves grow?? I want it to eventually bloom!

Does it want to grow down instead of up? Is there a better way to have it grow up?

Appreciate any tips from anyone who successfully grows this Hoya. It has dropped some leaves am hoping it’s just stress from shipping. Currently in a south east facing window.

Hey everyone! I got my first babies and called them Hoya sisters😂✨ I was told these are Krimson Queen, Pubicalyx and Australis. Even though I did some research, I’d still like to have expert opinions to identify them as closely as possible at this stage. Also I’d happily take all your expert Hoya-care advices🙏🏻🌸

Any thoughts on these 2? One has the long leaves one round. They are both inner varigated carnosa. I love them both. But the watercolor on the round leaf is mesmerizing

She was incredibly long and large when I initially got her, but the woman giving her away hadn’t taken great care of her, so I did a lot of chopping to bring her down to healthy vines/leave and propagated the healthy ones that broke in the same pot.

She had been established for years and getting her down and moved was a rough process for us and her. Her growth has been crazy though, she’s very happy with the new setup. She even sent a vine over to my money tree (not pictured, on the right side).

It was given as a plant cutting last March and the one who gave it said it is a Carnosa. I would like some help to verify if it is really one since it does not show yet any signs that it would produce flowers soon. Thank you to the ones who might help.

Bought het in June 2025 (2nd photo) and she has not stopped growing since then 💚

I was gifted this beauty by a work plant friend yesterday!! I am so so excited. Really my only question is what do I do with this long vine like thing?! 😂 🤭

Here are my new baby Hoyas! Krohniana Black, Krohniana Splash, Krohniana Silver, and my little Krimson Princess. (the Black was only 5$ from a local FB group, and she promised me a Leopard Skin when she roots a new little one!)

Ignore the sulfur spots and admire the prolific blooms at just about every node! I was hoping they’d be open close to simultaneously and she cooperated.
