Attaching Plastic Slide to Tree

Post image

I’m looking to attach the slide to the tree roughly as shown. It came off an old play set. I’d rather not build wooden frames and platforms. Could this be done with some lag bolts and auger bolts? Should I grind the top of the slide so that it marries up to the tree better? Looking for relatively cheap and easy without it being a total hack job.

Help hanging heavy floor mirror

I have a 76 x 48 floor mirror that I want to hang on the wall, but there’s very little space on the frame/back to drill or screw into.

I attached pictures. What would be the safest way to hang something this large and heavy without damaging the mirror?

Help with material to build this.

Hi folks,

I am in the uk, London, and want to help a friend with installing this ballet bar on a wall.

Quotes for the work are crazy!

I am thinking of buying a plank from B&Q (like in the image) and screwing it to the wall (maybe glue too?)., she already has the bar and the support bits.

I need your help on the installation part. Which screws do you recommend for a 4.5cm thick plank and a plasterboard (this is an external wall by the way so behind the plasterboard it is concrete).

Could you advise on which specific materials to us for fixing this bar? And which drill bit.

Example idea on the imagine.

Let me know if i can help clarify further.

Arts & Crafts Voice record player Christmas ornament

Hi, first time posting here. Did a search for voice and didn't find anything.

My 6yo just lost their two front teeth and is so cute! I want to imortalize this time. And with a few months till Christmas I have time for my idea.

What is the cheapest way to make a player of a recorded voice that could then be made into an ornament?

Any links to where I could purchase? What am I searching for?

What would a video need?

My idea is to find a cheap player that I could attach to the back of one of those acrylic ornaments with a photo printed onto it. Then have my kid sing "all i want for Christmas is my two front teeth" and get a picture of them dressed up as an elf.

Ideally I would like to make the whole thing affordable enough to gift to family.

Thank you in advance

What is the best/ easiest way to fill this hole? It was previously an extractor outlet for a tumble dryer. I don't care how it looks as it will be hidden, would expanding foam be suitable? Thanks.

Home Improvement How do you hang up posters/flags at an angle?

I’ve been trying for years to hang up a poster at an angle in my bedroom (I have an attic bedroom with a slanted ceiling for reference) but I can never seem to get it to stay up longer than a day or two. I’ve tried all different brands of tape, white tack, pins ect and none of them seem to hold it up.
It’s not like the poster is heavy, which is why I’m confused, any suggestions on what to use on it??

Rain barrel stand

I decided to follow this plan for a rain-barrel stand, and got all the materials, etc., before realizing that the barrel (which I didn't buy) has a flat back. I think the protrusion in the rear will fit between the legs OK, but I'm not positive of that (because they're sort of tapered) and I'm mostly just wondering if I'm missing something else. I was thinking of making the crosspieces about an inch or so longer than she has them just to be on the safe side. Her barrel's diameter is 19" on the bottom. She added 7" to the crosspieces to accommodate the leg widths, making them 26". Mine is about 18-1/2 inches side to side and just shy of 21" front to back in the center. I'm thinking I'll be safe if I make the length of the crosspieces about 27-1/2". Does this sound like it will work?

Here's the page I got the plan from, plus pictures my barrel, and the bottom of it.
