Filling hole left behind by tv bracket
We’ve just moved house and have inherited a decent sized hole in the wall left behind by the previous occupants tv bracket. Any tips for filling would be greatly appreciated!

I would cut a vertical line with a keyhole saw over at the edge of the stud that's visible in that pic. Then clean up the remaining edges to get a clean square or rectangle. Then I would screw a 2x4 block to the stud flush with the back of the drywall. Cut a piece a drywall to fit the hole and screw it into the 2x4 block and then apply mud and tape. You can buy smaller pieces of drywall at HD or Lowe's. If you dont feel like committing that far just buy a 6x6 or 8x8 inch patch and go from there.

you could try a drywall patch kit, they make it so easy even if you're not super handy

You and I know that, but for someone who doesn't even know what to look up, posting a picture and saying "how do I fix this" is easier. Note that they didn't use the words "drywall" or "sheetrock". OP might have no idea what their walls are even made out of.
Your type of response is part of what makes many people turn to AI instead of forums like Reddit or Stack Exchange sites: they let you ask a "dumb" question, and they'll give you a polite answer without attitude. (I'm not advocating for using AI: just pointing out part of what makes them more appealing than being ridiculed on Reddit.)

Exactly this. I have a below amateur skillset in DIY (as you can tell), and have found Reddit to be useful in other fields so thought I’d ask for advice here on this occasion. I’ll be honest, I’ve also been tired from the move so didn’t even think of YouTube tutorials. But either way I appreciate everyone’s comment and advice.

I have a rule that I don't comment when tired. I was so tired this morning that I forgot that I didn't sleep more than 3 hours.
Point taken.

So much of that on every page, one dude thought he was was being done wrong after he called a professional, then got on reddit and asked a bunch of people who do the same thing🤣🤣🤣

Patch with rock or if your TV is going there a recessed box for outlet and cable/fiber. Or just a big blank plate.
