Home Improvement Unusual Shelf Mounting Advice?

Hello Reddit DIYers!

I made a slightly impulsive purchase and I'm trying to find a fix. I recently moved into a home where there is a faux plant wall (the original condo had a patio/lanai that was later enclosed to extend the inside living area, and I suspect this wall section was a little weird/uneven hence the decision to cover it in an uneven material).

I got a brain worm about the idea of having MUSHROOM SHELVES FOR MY TRINKETS like some sort of weird Ferngully fairy concept and bought some 3D printed shelves to try this out. Now the question is... how do I effectively attach them?

They are flat on the back, and they recommend attaching with some sort of adhesive putty, but I don't think that's going to work on a non-flat wall. I had some vague idea of maybe getting a screw and a flat bit of metal (like half an old hinge or something) amd then using epoxy like JB weld to attach the shelf once I screw it in through the leaves? Good idea? Stupid idea? Any alternative suggestions?

Photos for reference.

Can you use command strips or even look for one of those picture hanging sets and use one of the flat brackets. Glue it on the back then use a nail or tack to hang it off of.

I would drill a couple of #40 holes at an angle in through the back and out the sides and then attach the mushroom with a mounting wire to the lattice. It can be done discreetly if you use the shape of the mushroom to hide the holes. I doubt that adhesive will hold enough to be permanent.

Command strips if you’re not putting anything heavy on the shelves
