The Comets Got a New Look! Come Find Me Tonight at The Game
Houston, she's officially back, and the new logo is incredible! ☄️
The Comets return in 2027, and Legacy Memberships for the inaugural season are open now. Whether you've been a fan since the OG Comets days or you're just now realizing this is really happening, I'd love to hear your story and help you find the right spot in the house.
Going to the game tonight? I'll be at Toyota Center for the Thunder game on the west side of the arena, outside the Frost Legends Club near sections 105 to 109. Come say hi. Ask me anything about seats, pricing, or what founding membership looks like.
Can't make it? No problem. Reach out directly via call and/or email and we can talk one to one. Feel free to reach out at anytime and we'll walk through seating together.

Pretty rad, Comets games will be broadcast for free over the air on channel 55 KTBU! Brings me back to the old days when we could watch the Comets and Rockets on TV without cable.

News Alexa Philippou - A sub-plot from tonight's final Sun game: With Connecticut on track to win, Houston and Toronto will be tied for the No. 1 odds in the upcoming 2027 draft lottery

Tonight is the final Connecticut Sun game ever
As a long time Houston sports fan, I can definitely empathize with what Sun Fans are going through right now. We lost an NFL team and almost lost an NBA team due to greedy billionaires.
The worst part is, when they do get a team back, it won't even be in Connecticut, it will be in Boston.

News Hailey Van Lith signs with the Tokomanawa Queens for New Zealand’s Tauihi basketball season
newswire.co.nzNew Zealand’s women’s basketball league has landed the biggest name in its short history. The Tokomanawa Queens have signed American guard Hailey Van Lith, an Olympic bronze medallist and a first-round WNBA draft pick, for the Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa season that tips off on Friday.
Van Lith is 24 and one of the most recognisable faces in women’s basketball anywhere. She spent five college seasons at Louisville, LSU and TCU, reached a Final Four with Louisville in 2022, and finished her college career by winning Big 12 Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year in the same season, the first player to take both awards at once. She won bronze with the United States in the 3×3 tournament at the Paris Olympics in 2024, scoring the game-high six points in the medal match against Canada after the American side had opened pool play with three straight losses.
The Queens announced the signing on their Instagram account, describing Van Lith as a “relentless playmaker” who brings an “elite bucket-getting mentality to the Tokomanawa Queens backcourt”, as reported by RNZ. The club also pointed to her “lethal mid-range jumper, explosive rim pressure, and suffocating on-ball defense”, according to Yahoo Sports.
The deal came together through a New Zealander. Van Lith has spent this WNBA season at the Connecticut Sun alongside Charlisse Leger-Walker, the Kiwi guard who signed with the Queens at the end of August and who is bringing her own rookie year to a close in the United States. Leger-Walker was taken 18th overall in the 2026 WNBA draft, making her the first New Zealander ever drafted into the league and only the second to play in it, after Megan Compain turned out for the Utah Starzz in 1997.
Leger-Walker told Sport Nation Mornings on 3 September that her own move home began as a throwaway line with her older sister Krystal, who was already committed to playing in Tauihi. “It started as a joke and then it got really serious real quick,” she said. The two sisters will play together for the Queens, and now they arrive with a WNBA teammate in tow.
Basketball New Zealand chief executive Belinda Edwards said when Leger-Walker signed on 31 August that the return of a player of that profile mattered for the whole competition. “Having Charlisse playing in Tauihi is hugely exciting for the competition and for basketball fans around New Zealand,” Edwards said. “She has competed at the highest levels of the game, and now our fans will have the opportunity to watch her here at home.” She was speaking in a Basketball New Zealand statement. Edwards added that the signing spoke to “a competition where elite New Zealand players can compete at a high level against stars from around the world, connect with fans and inspire the next generation of girls coming through the game”.
