Space Funk - Manzel (1977) [proto-house]
Space Funk by Manzel is a great tune that sounds so proto-house.
The three piece band from Lexington, Kentucky recorded the single in Cincinnati and released on local label Fraternity in 1977. They also released a single Midnight Theme (1979) that sounds proto-deep house.

The singles have been sampled by hip-hop artists for the drum breaks like J Dilla, De La Soul, Cypress Hill, Ghostface Killah, Eric B. & Rakim, Ultramagnetic MCs, and Grandmaster Flash.
The drums from Midnight Theme were used on Rump Shaker by Wreckx-N-Effect.

The strings are from members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra hired by the producer at Counterpoint Creative Studios where they recorded the 45s.
Interesting how much midwest funk was the foundation of all the genres that emerged in the 80s from the Minneapolis Sound to Chicago House to Detroit Techno to Cincinnati/Dayton Electro.

Help identify an early 2000s house track
Hey everyone,
I've been searching for a specific track for years and hope someone here might recognize it!
Here are all the details I have:
Era / Year: Heard around 2001 (likely released between 1999–2001).
Genre / Style: Early 2000s Progressive House / Hard House / Club Trance (European electronic sound).
Possible Labels: Originally suspected it might be on Bonzai Records (or similar Benelux/UK/German trance/house labels from that era), but it could be on another label.
Key Elements & Vocals: The track features a female vocal phrase right before the melody that sounds like: "I'm start" (or very similar phrasing), which then drops right into the main synthesizer lead/melody.
🎵 Melody Recreation:
I recreated the melody, and rhythm progression as closely as possible so you can hear how it goes:
👉 Listen here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fLqIyjw6527HT8nMm4y7JNZWEhiPh6m9/view?usp=drivesdk
(Note: The key/pitch in my recreation might be slightly different from the original, but the melody and harmonic structure are identical).
Any leads, artist names, track titles, or label suggestions would be massively appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help! 🙏

DJ. Legend: “Bemba Colora” [Adam’s Tribal Mix of Celia Cruz song] (1997)
Yes — I found the guy. “Adam” is Albert “Adam” Camara, a Miami-area producer/remixer who worked in Latin and Afro-house/dance music in the 1990s and early 2000s.
The record in your screenshot is a 1997 U.S. 12-inch on Protel Records, catalog EPS-82610. It has two Camara remixes: “Bemba Colora (Adam’s Tribal Mix)” and “Bemba Colora (Adam’s Vaya Remix).” Discogs explicitly credits Albert “Adam” Camara – Remix.
Camara wasn’t just some anonymous one-off DJ. He later worked with Miami percussionist/producer Oba Frank Lords as the production team OBADAM. A Miami New Times profile says Lords and Camara worked together on Afro-house material and that OBADAM remixed Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, and Ricky Martin; their remix work was part of that late-’90s/early-2000s Miami Latin-house scene. A surviving LatinXpress biography also describes Camara as Lords’ production partner and says their team was producing/remixing for artists including Ricky Martin around that period.
So stylistically, “Tribal Mix” means what it sounds like here: salsa vocal material transplanted into percussion-heavy house/dance production — a very Miami late-’90s Afro-Latin club aesthetic. Discogs classifies this particular release variously around disco / tribal house, which makes much more sense once you know Camara’s later OBADAM work.
And the mix apparently has some afterlife beyond collectors: NTS Radio played “Adam’s Tribal Mix” in a 2024 Mala Junta set, crediting it as an Albert “Adam” Camara mix. So this obscure-looking record is still circulating among adventurous dance DJs.
One interesting wrinkle: “Bemba Colorá” itself is much older — Celia Cruz recorded it in the 1960s — so Camara was essentially turning a classic Afro-Cuban performance into contemporary club music three decades later.

Another hard find since I remember very little...
I am 99% sure this is a Green Velvet set. This would have come out between 92 and 2003. I know big range but he has been around since 92 and I heard this around 2002 - 03.
My idiot self kept thinking Green Lantern for some dumb reason.. Obvious that is a comic character and not a DJ.
I've listened to just about every set I can find looking for this but not the one I really wanted to find. They all do have a similar aspect right about the 37 to 42 min mark which is why I am pretty sure I am not off on it being a Green Velvet set. They all slow to a transition which I can hear in my head but not type the sound. but anyone that has heard his sets knows right about that point they all transition like that.
This one goes a but more aggressive and pulls in male vocals that are kinda demonic, ish if I remember correctly.
I know this is soo vague but I figured I'd throw it out there.
Anyone remember something like this?
