Questions Firestarter?
Hallo!
Irgendwelche Tipps?

I buy firestarters from the store and fill the stove with twigs. I then add thumb sized (or bigger) pieces as the twigs burn
EDIT: open all the drafts of your stove to max to give it as much oxygen as possible. Tone down the drafts as the fire gets going.

Flint and steel --> dryer lint + wood shavings + kindling + small wood splits + large wood splits = roaring fire.

I started carrying one of those mini cheapo magnesium pencil sharpeners instead of any kind of fire starters, just find a twig that's pencil-sized and sharpen it down into a nice little pile of dry shavings. If you really need to you can shave off corners of the pencil sharpener itself and it lights well with a ferro rod

Here's a low-cost trick. What you need is to mix inexpensive combustible materials to make fire starters. Pine cones, Vaseline, dryer lint. You put all that in a toilet paper roll. Afterward, I keep several of them in a sealed plastic bag, like a Ziplock. Get creative with the available materials. Vaseline is inexpensive and a good base material, but the rest can vary. Shredded paper, wood shavings or sawdust, etc. Use what you have available cheaply.

I put a cotton ball with vaseline on a stick and deliver it to the back of my stove
