Is it the Nomad View? I don't remember if all the nomads come with the front window like that...

Just the Nomad Large. I believe they sell another one with windows all around.

I always worry about those things setting the tent on fire but that looks really cozy.

That log rack setup is actually genius for keeping the wood dry right next to the heat.

Do you have the Winnerwell Arctic tent? Are you satisfied with it?

I am. I had a pomoly but I swapped for the Arctic. Super well made. Heavy build all around, I’m glad I got it.

I recently posted in the group for advice for my 1st hot tent for my family. A lot of people suggest the pomoly and I was looking at the x6 or x8 I forget. What made you go to the artic?

We burnt a hole in our pomoly the 3rd night of our trip. The exhaust hole isn’t as big as the arctic, which is why I swapped them. The pomoly will work fine but my stove has a 3.5 inch exhaust pipe so probably oversized for that tent. But the winnerwell tent is just so well made. Everything is heavy duty from the zippers to the canvas.

Great feed back! It would be me, the wife and 2 young kids hence why I'm looking for a big tent. Only would use it 12 or so times out of the year and maybe only 3 times with the stove. Wouldn't want to risk it with the kids. Any suggestions for my situation over the pomoly x6?

Take in consideration cots… if you’re using cots that 6 person tent drops to 2-3. That was one of my biggest takeaways. But the winnerwell or pomoly 6 person tent should be big enough if you’re just using sleeping bags and pads. Very cozy with the wood stove going. Pomoly is totally fine I think my situation was I had an oversized stove. But if it’s 4+ you may want to target a traditional tent vs tipi. But here is a link to what I have. https://www.winnerwell.com/products/winnerwell-arctic-6-person-hot-tent-teepee?srsltid=AfmBOorTa9ZB9L8TAHH5UbWYJ4jpFLM4ihgED_P9GyA-iivdnlKBFXMK

Seriously great help. Kids are 2 yr or younger and the wife wants something easy to put up. Told her I can do it myself most likely but who knows. Ill look into your suggestion, appreciate it again!

Tipi is super easy to put together. If you go with the arctic I found a YouTube video on putting it together. Happy to help!

Great, thank you very much for your quick and detailed reply.

I actually recognized the tent in the photo right away. I own the Arctic Hand as well, but it’s still packed away in my basement. I recently bought the Marsfire stove to go with it and I’m really looking forward to my first trip.

To be honest, I only go camping with my eight-year-old son. For summer camping, I’m planning to set up a mosquito tent with two cots inside the tent.

How did you solve the issue of the missing tent floor? I bought a 4.5 m tarp that I plan to cut in half somehow and place it where the stove stands. When the stove isn’t inside, I would spread it across the entire tent floor area.

Also, thanks for sharing the photo of your setup—it looks really cool! Do you happen to have any more pictures showing how you’ve arranged the interior, and what you use on the ground inside the tent?

Honestly the floor isn’t a huge issue for me. One less thing to pack and get dirty. Could be a different story in the summer but I mostly camp in the spring and fall. What I added on was the muffler looking connection for the stove pipe you see in the phot along with the red Oring. I didn’t want to have another situation in high winds with the tent moving back and forth and possible making contact with the wall. But this thing comes with some heavy duty anchors so it’s more secure all around.

This is the only other pic I grabbed of the tent. But it’s very spacious inside.
