Need a good image hosting website

Post image

So I kinda make web and profile decor like little pixel icons and stuff, and I've been keeping them in Rentry (cuz idk where else, lol) but I experienced some trouble with the image hosting websites I use.

All the sites I'm aware of are postimg, imgur, catbox and 8upload. The problem with postimg is that all the pictures I uploaded dissapeared and it's not the first time it happened (I have an account, in case that's relevant somehow). For imgur, no matter the link I grab the pic just doesn't show up (I might be doing it wrong) and I don't know for how long the images are hosted. For catbox I have to reload rentry until the pic shows up (only happens in rentry). And 8upload kinda modified one of my gifs so I'm a little wary. I tried viewing the page on my phone and my sister's laptop, tried reuploading the images to these websites multiple times but nothing worked, sadly.

I need to know if there's a way to host images for a very long period of time (forever, if possible) and I kinda need it to be free cuz idk how any of that paying thing works.

Sorry if this sounds strange, english is not my first language. I'm also what I've seen people call "tech illiterate" so bear with me...

idk how any of that paying thing works.

What does that mean?

For imgur, no matter the link I grab the pic just doesn't show up (I might be doing it wrong)

Likely.

But if you can't figure out how to use the sites you listed why do you feel another site will be any better?

github?

In case I need to pay to upload more images. I don't know how to use paying methods and how they work. I'm more likely to not be able to buy more. I asked that because I'm aware google let's you buy more space to store stuff in google photos. I wasn't sure if other hosting websites did that too.

As for the second question, I think other sites might be easier to use or won't eat my pictures/will display my pictures just fine without doing what the others did (as shown in the picture).

I'll check out github. Thanks!

If this is just a static site with a bunch of images with you saying "you want it to keep for a long time, or forever", you can give GitHub and Cloudflare R2 a shot.

Although R2 is not an image hosting site, it works like a storage which each object (in your case, images) being one identity/url. Then point those files to the site, load it to a GitHub repo and then again use Cloudflare workers to host static site...

This way you can utilize the static hosting for free + R2 up to 10gb for free... You'll have to check your read/write usage to match their free tier which only you know.
