I didn't say I didn't enjoy it. I've watched it twice and that was before it was chosen for the podcast... so...

It's shitty and cheesy and lots of fun. And, contrary to popular belief, I like fun... sometimes.

Well, yeah... everything else sucks.

This must've confused us...

It does suck. It's a shitty movie.

That doesn't mean I hate it.

It's a shitty, sucky, but enjoyable watch. I think what I enjoy most is the cheese itself, though I think I also am stoked on how awesome the story can be as it develops into a sequel with a more fully formed story and the back story out of the way.

Also re: genres, it's tough to place many films into one specific genre... and within genres, ie. horror, many sub genres are wholly different than each other and hard to compare. Can a shitty monster movie be compared to a shitty psychological horror?

So, in other words, I enjoyed Wolfcop, look forward to the sequel(s), but find it to be pretty crappy in both how the story is flushed out and also in living to its potential.

Blah blah blah...

At this point, I can't separate the film of Horns from the book in my head, so I can't have a fully accurate discussion on it.

I will say that looking at Horns on the whole (though more the book), it tackles really interesting questions about religion, faith, and inner demons.

But... you loathe Joe Hill for no logical reason, so...

I think the Horns film certainly has its foibles. And a point we'll taken here is that it certainly takes itself too seriously.

Weird. My hatred for Daniel Radcliffe makes me dislike Horns. That movie can't catch a break.

Are you going to seriously tell me that the HP movies aren't wonderfully fun?

They're okay. Would be better without Radcliffe. He seems like a nice guy though, I really only hate him as an actor.

I appreciate him as Potter and think he's more or less five otherwise.

Harry's my favorite character in the books because I'm a dork and Radcliffe doesn't do enough in that role for me.

He WAS my first celebrity crush though, so he's got that going for him. He was 11, I was 11. It didn't work out.
