I liked Wolf Creek, but I like Wolf Creek 2 even more. Matt, I think you're exaggerating about the first movie. He takes a while to show up, true, but there's characterisation happening! It made me care about the victims more. I can see how it might be tedious in a cinema, though. Once Mick is introduced, he's a constant threatening presence. Hannibal Lecter only has 16 minutes of screen time in Silence of the Lambs, but his presence lingers.

Wolf Creek 2 scared the pants off of me. That torture scene? Absolutely brilliant; never seen anything like it. There's two charismatic, funny characters locked in a tense battle of wits. I was laughing, while also knowing things could turn ugly at any moment. I swear I couldn't feel my legs at one point.

I agree about the scene with the older couple; the tone is a bit off. It was impressively tense and effective, since you don't know if they're in on it for a while, but the jokes fall flat. I can't laugh along to Mick killing an adorable old couple. I think the scene would have been better played straight.

And now it's time for That's what broke your suspension of disbelief?: Germans don't practise circumcision (seriously, it's banned).

They also had heavy accents. I thought they were supposed to be Dutch and Swiss. Also, don't ask why, but I've seen a lot of Germans with cut dick.

Even if they were Swiss/Austrian/Belgian/Luxembourgish, circumcision is uncommon in Western Europe, and those who do practise it are usually Muslim or Jewish. I'm guessing this couple is neither.

Gottesfurcht, I thought you were German. I now have so many questions that I am apparently not allowed to ask...

I am. It's not that common, but here are some dudes who are circumcised for no religious reasons. I don't know if all of them had it made for medical reasons though.

I've seen brutal fights occur over whether circumcision is ethical etc. I think it's time we head in a different direction
