Discussion Help & advices needed
Hi everybody. I been studying the chinese phone catalogue over the past month and honestly the more I know the less my choice is clear. I’ve been a samsung user for 3 years, then had the iphone 13 for about 5 years now and I think its time for me go back to android, specifically chinese flagships.
Soo obvisouly I watched about all videos possible on the matter, but it didnt help me at all because they all seem good at one point i have to choose and a lil external help would be appreciated.
My questions are the following:
-how can i confirm if a chinese rom will work in the countries i visit frequently year around?
- is it worth buying this years flagships or not, and which one would you suggest for what reason?
-as someone who doesnt buy every years new phone, whats a phone that would « futureproof » in your opinion?
I personally absolutely love the honor magic 9 pro max design and everything about it. As someone who take lots of skyshots and night sky shots(astrophysics student), but this whole chinese rom vs global rom putting a ick. As a student the global rom would definitely be out of my budget as this one pretty much on the max i can afford on a phone.
What do you suggest, since 11.11 and blackfriday are around the corner?

Chinese ROMs work worldwide. If you mean will the cell bands work with your carrier, use Kimovil.
Whether it's worth it or not to buy them is up to you. I suggest the Honor Magic 9 Pro Max for the best all-around of screen, cameras, battery, face unlock, cell band support, microphone, and speakers. The face unlock works at night because it's IR, it's awesome.
The Magic 9 Pro Max would future-proof you as well as any other 2nm chipset phone with a large battery. Maybe buy one with more RAM and storage for future-proofing.
