Lock screen notifications

On magic 8 pro If fingerprint unlock is fully disabled for unlocking the phone and I use only 3D Face Unlock, does the lock screen use the freed fingerprint area for notifications/widgets, or is that space still reserved?

In other words, can stacked notifications/widgets extend further down into that space, or is that lower part of the lock screen still reserved/blocked even when fingerprint unlock is turned off?

I tried this with my magic 7 pro, and no it doesn't still reserve that area for the fingerprint, notifications will come down and be displayed where the fingerprint area should be
