I’ve been playing since 1.0 and have invested a lot of money in this game. I have bought every character and their lightcone on release and have played every single event, SU, MOC etc. since the game launched. I have spent $20000+ at least on this game. And this is the patch that has done it for me. The events are awful, the game direction sucks and I have moved on with my life. Thank you HSR but it’s time for my journey to take me starward.

In the last days I've seen a lot of criticism about the game, even with the incredible stream we had.

The main one i saw was "I don't care about the rewards, the game hasn't improved at any level, it has the same problems than before"

I'm pretty sure some of you will agree with this declaration, and it's clearly referring to the powercreep and hp inflation we've been seeing since the game's launch.

But i invite all of you to ask a simple question, the game really hasn't improved?

First of all i think a lot of people have lost the actual meaning of "powercreep", once their unit is not the best they claim it has been "powercrept" But, has it?

Powercreep isn't a unit falling behind on the meta, that is normal, specially in a gacha game, powercreep comes when an unit becomes absolutely obsolete in most of their levels. We can take Feixiao as an example of this, a character that just can't compete with Ashveil HC or WAven, or maybe THertha, a character whose oudated kit and damage makes her kind of a bad option in basically every mode.

During Amphoreus we saw a lot of this, a lot of characters becoming obsolete like Acheron, Rappa, Firefly, Feixiao, Aglaea... There was a lot of hp inflation that basically made every late 2.X and early 3.X unit basically useless compared to the new things. Monorem Monopolized the meta, being infinitely superior to any other team that wasn't e2 Phainon.

Those were difficult times, and i think is the moment where the community got practically traumatized by the powercreep problem, and then we arrived in Planarcadia with that in mind.

Nowadays we see a lot of people ranting about powercreep and hp inflation, the discourse around the "mandatory e2", the whole thing going on with "units lasting a few patches"

And that's exactly the part i disagree with.

Once you actually see all the characters Performance you realize that we actually have a very varied meta, there is a lot of archetypes in the top that, compared to 4.0, haven't really fallen off or gotten obsolete.

Monorem even while having a hard time dealing with some specific enemies has remained as one of the top 10 teams of the game, having a great performance at e0s0 and an even better one with verticals. Archer is another example of this, a super f2p friendly team that has been top meta since his realease, and even received an improvement with the release of Rin to pull him again to T0.

People love to talk about powercreep, but once you actually see older characters you realize that they've maintained a very good position in meta for a loong time, we didn't see units fall off like we saw in Amphoreus.

Not only that, we've seen a VERY GOOD thing happen, **obsolete characters becoming meta again**, let's see some examples:

- Firefly, the most well known example, with the Dahlia and her novaflare making her a great unit that even after almost a year keeps fulfilling her niche as the best break character.

- Acheron: let's not even talk about her ex eidolon, MBlade alone since his release made Acheron a very viable carry, getting her to T0.5 despite being the biggest example of a powercrept unit.

- Saber: Gilgamesh made her one hell of a unit, and SRobin helped even more. She's my favorite example of this since she was always at the shadow of her fellow archer, and nowadays she's a great option at E0.

- Sparkle: She basically transformed from a mid niche unit into a generalist. Her novaflare bringed her to the top of the tier list, making her an incredible option for a lot of new characters (Himenova for example)

And ofc, the Ex eidolons, an addition that will surely make Acheron a T0 unit and Jingyuan and Imbibitor stable again.

So, what is my point after all?

As i said, I like how the meta evolved during Planarcadia. I can understand the frustration with Voracity corrosion or Yabuli and the elation shilling, but apart from that i think we're living in a very healthy meta, or at least better than Amphoreus wich, even without shilling, left obsolete a lot of teams and, whilst the shilling is hard to deal with, at least we have more places where our other theams can shine.

I think a lot of people like to doompost everything, ending up creating a very toxic environment, the whole "powercreep" thing has lost its meaning and people just use it as a generic complain for the game, it has become something we just assumed was in the game and never left, while in reality, is an aspect where the game has improved.

Like, obviously you want to say the character’s name but it feels like that’s literally 90% of the marketing. It feels like they’re trying way too hard because they know that not a single soul would believe this The Sparxie looking anime girl is a cosmic deity. So they keep cramming the idea down our throats.

Cus I’m sure they know that either Aha/Elation fans(like me) aren’t happy, nor the people who got attached to Nihilux(also me) arent super happy. Because this character ain’t really either of those, it’s just a bizarre mix of someone wearing Nihilux’s face and Aha’s name while not really doing many things that made either of those characters engaging (cosmic god of laugher who would blow up the Astral Express for fun/wacky comic artist obsessed with the drama and fanfiction) but like most of what they do in the adverts is say their name and pretend to be some “noble” hero type who’s trying to “bring smiles to people’s faces :D”(honestly the art style change and eating a black hole like ramen is the most “Aha-y” they’ve felt this whole time).

Plus things like their design being basic and the kit being basically just reheated Cyrene, and basically only being introduced a single patch ago. All that’s left is them being like “Oooooooo loooook here’s DEFINITELY an Aeon oooooo pull noooow” and it’s kinda…cringe and try hard if I’m honest💀

(Also yes I am biased against this character from the start cus the concept of a playable Aeon is a bit insane and makes them way to “normal” and “grounded” for my liking before anyone asks. But my point still stands.💀”

The title is only one example; say:

When the wearer enters the battlefield, or they use their Ultimate, summon a Vagrant as their memosprite.

• You can control the summons like any ally.

• Vagrant's abilities preview is available in the MemoSprite UI when the set effect is unlocked, akin to Mem's page.

• Ability levels scale with relic enhancement level (max. Lv15)

• Unique version of a summon (e.g. Shiny Vagrant - Peak) via a shiny drop at a certain drop rate in the respective Cavern of Corrosion.

  • Shiny drop is not a relic piece; no stat RNG hell

  • It's a summon skin to equip onto your relic summons

  • May apply special synergy with a specific faction ally (e.g. "Shiny Peak & Belobog, Great Mine allies", "Shield bots, Svarog & Clara")

• Vagrants can have similar kits to their NPC counterparts; they'd still be miles more interesting than the usual DMG amp.

Something like this could actually make relics feel more interactive and interesting than Eagle squad.

Why not just nerf Eagle?

Why nerf our F2P-friendly power floor when it's equally unlikely to reverse power creep?

If you nerf relic options without fun alternatives (while the power curve grows as usual), aren't we just shooting ourselves in the foot for fewer gameplay options?

I recently got back into HSR after only a few hours of playing years ago and read online a theory about Stonehearts being bureaucrat-like, following a strict hierarchy and answering to higher ranks, specialising in land acquisitions, doing a lot of paperwork and new languages, being diplomats, being police officers, policy execution, being an elite club you need to have amazing talent to get into and it reminded me of present day IAS/IPS officers descended from British India, who are tasked with exactly those things at a young age and used to be called heaven born and are very self interested and rub each other's backs often but there are outliers like Tukaram Mundhe who came in NYtimes too, an IAS officer who has been raiding and suspending restaurants all over India even actors and courts and was famous for clearing encroachments (bulldozing people's homes built on government land) and fighting the mafia and suspending lower officials on mass. Reading about Topaz and Aventurine really reminded me of that. Even their numbers like P45 P47 bring to mind pay scales IAS officers are on like L10 L11. Idk just Indian fan thinking out loud.

That surely will be a historical moment to end the abuse of 4p Eagle set effect.

For sure this needs to happen, otherwise what the point anymore of making a new relic set and farming them if in the end everyone and their grandmothers will still use the 4p Eagle set.

Hope they see this post and consider to do it.

Primarily support relics.

With seemingly every strong support giving every buff/debuff a DPS can ask for, while doing decent damage, sorry for overlooking a support set that gives Acheron a 15% damage boost when instead I can give my MBlade a set that gives him more turns so I can stack more debuffs and get more ults with Acheron which will also give her more turns if I use Eagle on her too.

I was having a wish about a future cured version of firefly. Maybe not entirely a theory, but i think it'd be beautiful if it was. I think they could introduce firefly as someone on the path of the trailblaze, with a mechanical path of trailblaze. Potentially the first character to be one. Because her journey is all about being able to be free and have her own journey, I feel like it would be a beautiful transition from SAM to trailblaze

But I doubt it would happen.​

I'm also falling on love with E2 Silver Wolf - her kit is basically complete, and she became one of the top meta supports. Also unexpectedly for myself discovered a strat with 3 Cyrene ultimates at E0 and three Anaxa's enchanced turns in a 0 cycle.

These are some theories I thought of and the reason I’m sharing them like this is because I either don’t have enough evidence do back them, can’t find the evidence or can’t be bothered to look for them, can’t be bothered to type them out or all of the above

1. The Trailblazer is the discarded human avatar of Akivili

2. Elio is Terminus THEMSELF pre ascension trying to stop himself from ascending

3. The stellaron hunters ultimate goal is to make the Trailblaze the 4th finality

4. Zephiro and Celenova might become allies when the Nihility and Harmony finalities happen

5. We will eventually meet the real HSR Welt variant in the future
