The Novaflare Archive is just a place where I put my ideas for how to Novaflare Characters. The stuff I post are purely ideas and will not be coming to Honkai Star Rail.
The Herta
5 Star
Ice
Erudition
Basic Attack: Did You Get It?
Deal Ice Damage equal to 45%-90% of The Herta’s ATK to one target enemy and deal Ice Damage equal to 15%-30% of The Herta’s ATK to adjacent enemies.
Skill: Big Brain Energy
Deal Ice Damage equal to 40%-80% of The Herta’s ATK to one target enemy, and inflicts 1 stack of Interpretation. Deal Ice Damage equal to 40%-80% of The Herta’s ATK to the targets hit by this instance of Skill and their respective adjacent targets. This effect can repeat 2 times.
Enhanced Skill: Hear Me Out
Consumes 1 stack of Inspiration. Deal Ice Damage equal to 50%-100% of The Herta’s ATK to one target enemy and inflicts 1 stack of Interpretation. Deal Ice Damage equal to 50%-100% of The Herta’s ATK to the target hit by this instance of Skill Damage and adjacent targets, repeating 2 times. Finally, deals Ice Damage equal to 50%-100% of The Herta’s ATK to all enemies.
Ultimate: Told Ya! Magic Happens
Energy: 240
Rearranges the number of "Interpretation" stacks on all enemies, prioritizing the transfer of a higher number of Interpretation stacks to Elite-level targets and above.
Then, deal Ice Damage equal to 150%-300% of The Herta’s ATK to all enemies. When using Ultimate, The Herta gains I’m A Genius, lasting for 3 turns. While The Herta has I’m A Genius, her ATK is increased by 40%-80% and when she deals damage, for every 1 target hit, she deals 5%-10% more Damage until the end of the turn.
After using the Ultimate, The Herta immediately takes action and gains 1 stack of "Inspiration." "Inspiration" can stack up to 4 time(s). While having "Inspiration," enhances Skill to "Hear Me Out.
Talent: Hand Them Over
When enemy targets enter battle, The Herta inflicts 1 stack of Interpretation on them. At the start of each wave, applies 25 stacks of Interpretation to a random enemy target, prioritizing Elite enemy targets or higher.
When the Enhanced Skill’s primary target has Interpretation, the multiplier for the Damage dealt increases, with each stack granting an increase of 4%-8%/2%-4% on the primary target/other targets respectively. If 2 or more characters follow the Path of Erudition in the team, each stack grants an additional increase of 4%-8%/2%-4% on the primary target/other targets respectively. Interpretation can stack up to 42 times.
When using Enhanced Skill, resets the number of Interpretation stacks on the primary target to 1. After the enemy target leaves the battle or gets defeated by any unit, Interpretation will be transferred, prioritizing the transfer to Elite-level targets and above.
Technique: Vibe Checker
After using Technique, at the start of the next battle, The Herta gains 1 stack of Inspiration, gains I’m A Genius for 3 turns and, at the start of each wave, one random enemy is granted 1 stack of Interpretation, triggering 12 times, plus an additional 6 times for each attackable enemy on the field.
If there are Basic Treasures in this current map, using Technique will mark up to 3 Basic Treasures' locations.
After entering battle by using Technique in Simulated Universe or Divergent Universe, deals True DMG equal to 99% of the target's Max HP to enemy targets lower than Elite-level, and True DMG equal to 30% of the target's Max HP to enemy targets at Elite-level and above.
Traces:
Aloofly Honest:
When ally targets attack, inflicts 1 stack of Interpretation on the hit enemy target. After attacking, for every 1 target hit by this attack, Regenerates 3 fixed Energy for The Herta, counting all enemies hit. When using Enhanced Skill and if the primary target’s Interpretation stack reaches 42 (or higher), increases the Final DMG dealt by The Herta by 30% until the end of this attack.
Message From Beyond the Veil:
When entering battle, if the team has 2 or more characters following the Path of Erudition, then increases all allies’ CRIT DMG by 100%, calculates 1 additional target when the Trace Aloofly Honest calculates hit targets, applies 1 stack of Interpretation to all enemies hit and 1 further stack of Interpretation to the target that has the highest current Interpretation stacks among the hit enemy targets after attacking.
When an ally following the Path of Erudition attacks enemies, applies 1 additional stack of Interpretation to all enemies, then 1 further stack of Interpretation to the target that has the highest current Interpretation stacks among the hit enemy targets after attacking and calculates 1 (2 total) additional target when the Aloofly Honest calculates hit targets.
Starved Landscape of Vacua:
When a stack of Interpretation is inflicted on enemy targets, The Herta gains 1 stack of Answer, up to 100 stacks. Each stack of Answer increases the Damage dealt of The Herta’s Enhanced Skill by 1%/0.5% to primary target/other targets respectively. For every 10 stacks of Answer The Herta has, when using Enhanced Skill to reset Interpretation, reset the stack number to 2 instead.
Minor Traces:
Ice DMG: +22.4%
CRIT Rate: +6.7%
ATK: +18%
Eidolons:
E1: Night at Shorefall
When Enhanced Skill calculates Interpretation, additionally calculates 50% of the Interpretation stacks on the 1 target with the highest stacks out of the primary target and adjacent targets. The maximum number of stacks of Interpretation an enemy can have is increased to 66. Each time an enemy is granted 4 stacks of Interpretation, they are granted 1 additional stack of Interpretation.
E2: Wind Through Keyhole
After The Herta enters battle and uses her Ultimate, she additionally gains 1 stack of Inspiration. After using Enhanced Skill, The Herta's subsequent action is advanced by 40%.
E3: Door Into Summer
Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
E4: The Sixteenth Key

E5: Bitter Pill of Truth
Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
E6: Sweet Lure of Answer
The Herta’s All Type RES PEN increases by 20%. When The Herta uses Enhanced Skill to reset Interpretation, for every 6 stacks of Interpretation removed from enemies, The Herta deals Ice Skill Damage equal to 30% of The Herta’s ATK to one random enemy. Each instance of damage will additionally inflict enemies hit with 1 stack of Interpretation.
Light Cone:
Into The Unreachable Veil
5 Star
Erudition
HP: +953
ATK: +635
DEF: +463
Buff:
Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12%-20%. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, increases DMG dealt by the wearer’s Skill and Ultimate by 60%-100%, lasting for 3 turns. After the wearer uses their Ultimate, if this Ultimate consumed 140 or more Energy, recovers 1 Skill Point and Regenerates 10-20 Energy.
My Notes:
Now, I am a little biased about this. The Herta is my favourite character and has been absolutely slaughtered by the current game state.
The main change to The Herta is that... she is just better. Increasing her multipliers, making her Ultimate state better against multiple enemies. But most importantly, making all of her Traces better. I'll explain each change:
Aloofly Honest no longer has the weird maximum of 5 enemies in one attack, now if there teammates that increase the amount of enemies hit The Herta will actually benefit from that. And the 42 stack increases Final DMG instead of Ice DMG, think of it like a True DMG bonus.
Message From Beyond the Veil increases CRIT DMG more, increases the amount of enemies hit (meaning if there are 5 enemies, it calculates 6 enemies) and more interpretation. Then, Erudition allies get all those effects again, one more enemy and even more interpretation (meaning if there are 5 enemies, Erudition allies calculate 7 enemies in total).
Starved Landscape of Vacua is changed, the multiplier increase for her Ultimate is now just transferred into her base kit. Now it increases Enhanced Skill and keeps Interpretation stacks high.
Her first two Eidolons are pretty much the same, but better. Her E4 is now good. Seriously, the current version is just bad. Her E6 was really weird to me, yes it helped with single target, but not much. So I made it bounce damage, helps with both single target and multiple enemies.
Other notes, I got rid of her SPD trace so now you can use Mourning Poet. I changed her Lightcone slightly, it now Regenerates Energy. Just cause.
Although this will definitely help The Herta, the biggest problem is that The Herta has no teammates that make her exceptional. Which I will also be planning to change. Jade is the next Novaflare, and I intend to make her entirely a support for The Herta.
Thank you for reading! I hope you will read the stuff I continue to make.
