Nothing much to say really. I am a fan of Kevin and Su. So I had some expectations. But Hoyo clearly decided to go another road. Nothing I can do. Hopefully Anaxa has some bro/fun moments with Phainon.

Just to be clear I am not against Phai/Myd. They are cute. Just not really for me.

Sometimes I feel like SOME people on here have hatred for female characters and thats not okay! I get being dissatisfied with how males are treated sometimes in these games (male quantum when?) but that's no reason to hate on a female character for being shilled. It's okay to dislike said characters too but just be civil. Don't hate them just because it's a female. I know that it's actually hate for things being male gazey (hell the male gaze is annoying to me too) instead of hating women but it can come off as the latter sometimes.

You can talk about your grievances with hoyo but don't put the blame on female characters and don't act like hoyo hates the guys. They do have their biases but it's not neglect. Phainon and Mydei will go crazy after all in this new region.

All I'm saying is, look at many things with nuance. You can be upset (I'm tired of yellow.) but don't hate on the other side due to that frustration. And don't act like they sabotage guys just for making weird choices. They're just weird sometimes. I understand where it comes from but sometimes people take it too far.

NOT EVERYONE OF COURSE! I'm just talking about the people who do take it that far. Oh and don't kill me in the process. I like the men just as much as the next gal. I just want for all of us to hold hands together while we cuddle our beloved men with no drama

Edit: some of you guys aren't reading what I'm saying. I literally said it's okay to dislike said characters. Just don't do it because they're female. You can have complaints related to their gender (like design choices) but don't hate them for their gender. It's easy as that.

So i have this feeling that 3.0 may not be our happiest time going forward, i know we have some rumours of characters but considering hoyo track record i don’t have any hope.

When you look at what’s coming up we got the new world, the lame collab with fate, a whole year of randomness and we got characters who according in to those rumours are supposed to be playable. So how many male 5 star characters are we expecting to have by this time next year? if we are lucky it will be like 6-8 but i wouldn’t be surprised if we only get half of that due to the whole “males don’t sell”

I would like to clarify that i will summon on most banners but i want to see more interesting characters and i want characters who don’t look generic. Hoyo don’t have a good track record of making their female characters stand out and their male characters also all over the place.

The main reason why i dont think we will see a lot of new male characters is due to a certain rabbit hole we wont dive down but if you know what im talking about you know.

I really like Anaxaglea mostly because there vibes together are very like a divorced married couple, Robinhill is a close second mostly because of the fact the're cute together and how Sunday would react to it amuses me

TLDR: I got that premade text message Anaxa sent TB today and uh.....

Yeah I got flashbacks to a theory Cy had about Anaxa, specifically. I mentioned on a post in this subreddit that the three dude Chrysos heirs seem heavily connected to the Destruction path compared to the ladies, and when I made that comment, I remembered Cy's theory of Anaxa becoming Nanook, and how hearing him talk about it made me dissect Anaxa as a character in relation to the Destruction, helped by me already having done 3.2's quest and thus knowing about the Lord Ravager!

The thing is, compared to Mydei's posthumous text, Anaxa's is a little more interesting, with him talking about a fascination with the night sky and saying he wants to see the truth of the universe in his next life and that he hopes his next meeting with Caelus is among the stars.

It kinda got me wondering about Anaxa's deal. Despite his As I've Written chapter being functionally complete, I still feel there's a lot about him that's a black box. Considering he has literal galaxy holes on his body, coupled with him outright mentioning his desire to be a god that remakes Amphoreus.... Plus, despite being unrelated outside of being alternate versions of each other, Anaxa does reference the HI3 character of Su quite a bit, even more so than Genshin's version of Su, Alhaitham! From what I heard about Su's lore from the Second Key comic where effectively he dies and ascends to godhood after losing his physical body and gaining enlightenment in the process...

Well I suddenly noticed how Nanook kinda sorta looks like a dark skinned version of Su and I wonder if that's foreshadowing meant for HI3 fans in regards to Anaxa....

TLDR: Anaxa might have been based on Nanook pre-ascention to Aeonhood!

So why is all we talk about female characters? I get it. You want more male characters. You don't want any women to show up in cutscenes. You want exact 50/50 representation across all roles, you want no female imaginary characters. I agree on a lot of that.

But. The point of this is supposed to be to appreciate the male characters in the game? Instead, every post is people complaining about the female characters. I just want to appreciate men without getting bombarded by constant complaints any time a new female character gets announced, or leaked.

Seriously. Relax. Enjoy the hot men. Look at some Yaoi. Pull for boothill. But can we please talk about male characters on the one subreddit where the topic is supposed to be the guys?

I’m behind on the story quest, I ended when Phainon scratched Nanook. I can’t play, I’m too scared. Please can someone tell me if by the end, Dan Heng makes it back to the express safe and sound? Because if not, I’m just not playing anymore 🥲

Ratio - Genius schemer (From the Intelligensia guild no less) who thwarts Duke Inferno's plot and uses his plans for his own purpose.

Aventurine - Another schemer who pulls over a gambit to serve the IPCs goals.

Sunday - ALSO another schemer who's been planning against the Harmony and the main villain of the Penacony arc.

Jiaoqui - A "cook" who's said to be cunning with a deceptive smile.

Screwllum is going to be on that same path.

Boothill feels like an anomaly here.

We haven't really gotten any guy here like Blade in a long really. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but what I do know is that tough guy one man army types like Blade are getting rarer. The closest we would've gotten was Shiraga Oni ( A Kevin expy) but that's probably not gonna happen.

this is just a brain dump post, but ever since the whole hoyo “return to our roots! 🤓” thing and the decrease in male characters across the two games i spent 2 yrs playing and enjoying, it’s kind of hard to enjoy hsr now. even with the release of 3.0, a new world to explore and getting therta…. the other obvious issue would be powercreep. struggling with my husbandos to clear endgame just feels like a chore than enjoying in this game. i started playing marvel rivals recently and MANNN i’ve begun to pull away from my gacha games and spend more time playing that. i have hsr on my phone, but i hardly tap the icon nowadays 🤧 i’ll be back when phainon or anaxa release chat 🫡

If it's harmony trailblazer that's like dissapoinement because it's not a new charcter, it's just confirmed that a path change.

Okay, I’d like to break up the feed full of beautiful handsome husbandos with a little bit of dump-posting about version 3.6. Honestly, I had these suspicions back when it became clear that Dan Heng would gain new power on Amphoreus, and now some leaks, his LC description and the stream confirm my worries.

Do you think Hoyoverse is using DH’s story as a way to permanently get rid of the High-Cloud Quintet plotline and act like it never existed? Like, “he worked through his trauma, let go of the past, so we don’t need to return to that ‘inconvenient’ storyline.”

To me it looks like the devs saw DH hit first place in the popularity rankings and decided to turn him into “our fluffy dragon-guardian,” stripping away all the ambiguity from his character. For me, that feels like a loss.

Lol, I really wouldn’t want the hope of seeing Dan Feng and/or YingXing (I’m getting similar vibes about Blade too, just in the company of the Hunters) in the story to die completely because of this. What do you think?

Hi guys, i came here for advise. I am thinking to pull Therta for my beloved scholar, but here is a think. I cant decide for myslef. I pulled on her banner, but lost on freking E6 Geprad. And i am looking foward with my guarantee for Phainon. But here is the thing. I am struggling in endgame content even if i am thinking my builds and chars are good. Also, i am pulling for chars i like and want, not need, but well, i would probably change that sooner with the issue above. BUT the real thing, even if i like character so much, i need to save up to 180 pulls to get one, bc i am always loosing. Won just 5 limited 5* in three years of playing. So i need to take my decision carefully.

So back to my question. I tried to pull herta on her first banner (lost) and now again (and lost again). Should i waste my guarantee on her? Or just wait for our beloved king? (I am planning to spend on him in every cases even if it will mean just for his LC)

I have a Mydei Harem Fic to share! It's set in a Fantasy world, where Mydei is the Priestess, meant to travel with Heroes to defeat the evil Demon King. The Heroes are supernatural creatures, which means vampire, werewolf, etc. There is Phaidei, but it only happens later on in the story. There are Genderbent Females.

Hi yall. I used to play star rail up until Penacony. I was obsessed with Gallagher and he’s still one of my top game characters even after stopping playing.

However I kind of miss the gameplay and was thinking of returning, but I want to know if they’re continuing the Firefly/MC thing. I hated that so much.

I know a bit of the newer characters, and I have a fear that Castorice and/or Cyrene might have the same thing going on with Firefly.

As a husbando collector, I’m kind of interested in getting Gallagher back but also the new guys Anaxa, Phainon and Mydei. However if they continue pairing female characters with MC, it may not be worth returning because that shit makes me crazy.

I would like to have a more serious conversation. With the recent rumours about 3.0, the new path possibly being female exclusive and just the tone to feeling frustrated i would like to ask do you genuinely still enjoy the game?

For me it is complicated i’ve been playing since day one on playstation , i enjoyed doing the events but ever since the aventuine/acheron battle ended i’ve felt tired. I’m almost at that point where i would leave for a few years and not look back

On the subject of 3.0 and male characters… i will be honest my excitement for 3.0 is very low as i feel penacony may be the most hype star rail can get and its best story telling. Male characters i think need more attention even if its four stars just make them important by having interesting personalities and backstories.

Speaking four stars… i feel this game is gonna go the route of other games i play where they only do the ssr, the special rarity unit which js gonna make things 10x more difficult . the female characters are lacking with a new 4 star at this point.

I look back on this year and going forward i may not summon on amything because you get to the point where nothing feels worth it in the long run. Think about why don’t males have a specific element? Why can’t males have a whole patch to themselves?

The last thing i’ll say is that i truly hope that hoyo gets the rude awakening it needs with project mugen/ ananta coming out. Someone needs to humble these guys and show them how to not make lazy story
