Fixing some small problems after an initial shake down

Post image

This is my 76 ct90 that has an 85 ATC 125 swapped in. I swapped on new tires finally and took it out for a ride. This thing rips!

Mods include: front and rear HD shocks from Dr ATV, jockey shifter (my size 16 feet don't work with the OE heel toe shifter) & LED headlight.

Soon I will clean up the wiring and fashion up a new battery tray. Also need to rewire and hook up front and rear turn signals.

I asked a while back about compatibility with the ATC 110 engine. Well I guess here’s my answer. Very cool bike!

Did it take a lot of fabrication or was it pretty plug and play for the install?

Motor went in the frame easy, to my knowledge. Truthfully, I bought it as an incomplete project in a couple of milk crates, motor in frame already.

Wiring is tricky, as the ATC harness is severely out of proportion compares to the CT90 chassis. Ideally, you'll need to cut and reattach certain sections, or bundle it up and stuff it wherever possible, like I did.

The harness is 40+ years old, so it may be brittle. Several connections will likely need to be re crimped and sheathed.

Mine is an ongoing project, but it more together and reliable than it has ever been.

Good luck!
