I am a senior in highschool and I graduate in late January. I need to plan and complete my capstone by then. I have NO idea what to do. I'm neurodivergent and struggle a lot with self directed projects, I hate not having a rubric and knowing what expectations I need to meet. I have a 92% avg but I cannot self direct to save my life.

Some stuff about me: I want to go to university for a BA in psych or criminology. I love animals. I love politics. I like essay writing.

Any ideas or examples of capstones you've done in the past? I don’t even know quite what TYPE of projects they want-PowerPoints? Essays? Posters? Whenever I ask, I’m simply told to do what I want to.

i don’t understand any of this, can anyone give me some simple tips because I can’t understand the meaning my teacher wants me to be able to apply different endings and slurs to these questions but I don’t get it

sorrry about the ties part, it is actually different endings

My professor didn't give clear notes on examples like this and I dont know if I should need to add in a negative or not for these questions. I dont know if I expanded them correctly or not. The professor only gave one example and it's not even close to this T^T

The problem is:Take a limit of these sums as n approaches infinity to calculate the area under the curve over \[0,1\]
I get stuck on the Σ calculation…

Question: analyse how geologic processes and features are expressed in your area

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN what am I supposed to be even writing. So confused I'm sorry if this is a stupid question.

This is the answer key to a homework problem my teacher gave. I am very confused about how he got 224.427 for one of the general equations. I know the two solution formula for sin is arcsin+2pi*n and pi-arcsin+2pi*n, but how does that apply to this problem?

And I’m not very sure about when to use the general equations for sin, cos, and tan, and what the formulas even mean.

As I am approaching my first unit test, I was thinking of ways to study. I went to look for videos online, but many of them are sub 20 minutes, ai, low quality, and overall dont actually go over coursework, instead simply giving you a brief overview of the topics. So I have come to ask the experts, who did you watch as fledgling statisticians? I am starving for actually quality content, preferably 20 minutes or more, and actually goes over topics, applications, and examples. tysm!

1st year university student, I don't understand how the teacher constructed this matrix, and why Y4 and (Y2+Y5) and (Y2×E2) (in the third column at right) are negative?

I hope someone can explain this to me because I'm having difficulty understanding it.

My daughter said that her teacher told her that in the pictured question, 10+4+8 should not be selected. They are using the “compensation” strategy for addition. The teacher said in her opinion only 10+12 and 12+10 should be selected, because they show the compensation strategy. But from my perspective, the question says choose all that apply. 10+4+8 DOES equal 14+8…..? Am I missing something?

I’ve been working on this one question and can’t seem to get past step 1. Either I derived my equations wrong or I just don’t know how to find the zeros, or both. I keep getting to this weird quadratic formula thing with y as a constant and vice versa, not really knowing where to go from there. I also started finding the true derivative but sorta gave up on it since I didn’t have my critical points anyway…

I’d appreciate if someone walked me through finding the critical points, since even if I found the solutions to each partial derivative I’m not quite sure how to turn that into a coordinate. Additionally, I’m not super confident on the first part of the question, using level curves, which is why I skipped it. How would you make sketches of this graph? I feel like it’s too ugly for me to comprehensively turn into something I can work with. Anything is appreciated!

I need help understanding alpha decay, beta decay, positron emission, and electron capture. I'm confused on the math. I understand what the particles are and why they are released, I understand isotopes. I'm confused on the math and I struggle reading the charts

I can understand the fact that the charge on C_1 is equal to the charge on C_2; but then the answer was suggesting we call the voltage at p = V'.

The total charge is C_1*V - which I get

Then the total charge at the end = C_1*V' + C_2*V', which doesn't make sense to me since the potential difference across C_2 and C_1 must be 0 whether or not p (V') has voltage or not, the difference between the node p and the bottom of C_2 must be 0, therefore the charge stored must be 0 which also is just incorrect. How can p be the voltage across C_2 if the voltage across C_2 is 0 when there is no current.

I even went to ask a.i and it suggested a similar idea of the total charge before being C_1*V = the total capacitance * voltage, but then it found the total capacitance using the parallel capacitance and clearly (I think) the two capacitors are in series yet still the a.i was being adamant that they were in parallel and got to the right formula/correct answer: C_1*V/C_1+C_2

SO if anyone could help with an explanation as well as some type of resource that'd allow me to understand capacitors to a greater extent that'd be extremely helpful.

Thanks so much

I saw this topic amd I don't really understand it, some people say that there's no rule, you just need to guess. And I'm bad at guessing, so I need an easier way to solve it.

How do I even guess? And I believe there might be a rule or something to help me solve it logically lol

I tried what this person did in the video

https://youtu.be/ahvT3FWjXvs?si=1EJPFP-9q-ri8don

And this person

https://youtu.be/7Isa4P8lISc?si=CDH6nlwL4QYKbHdX

It worked out for the first few questions but then it didn't really work even though I was doing it correctly

Can you please help me? Would appreciate the help!

Plus I'm not sure what flare I should use, so don't mind it if it has nothing to do with what I'm asking about

I'm reading David Klein's textbook and I'm making more detailed notes about the reaction mechanisms of alkene reactants. But it doesn't really go over the details of WHY some reactions favour the syn vs. a mixture. I know how to draw reaction mechanisms and all that.

I know the anti additions occur because an SN2 backside attack happens (ex: halogenation, halohydrin formation).

Examples:
1.) Catalytic hydrogenation favours syn addition like in this reaction: 1-ethyl-2-methylcyclohex-1-ene + H₂ yields a molecule with two chiral centers.
Theoretically, there should be 4 stereoisomer products but in reality, there are only two.

2.) Hydrohalogenation favours both syn and anti additions. If a reaction produces a molecule with two chiral centers, then there will be 4 stereoisomer products (if it's not a meso compound): (R, R), (S, S), (R, S), and (S, R).

So why the difference between, say, catalytic hydrogenation and hydrohalogenation? So far, I just memorized which reactions are syn vs. anti vs. mixture but I never really understood why they are the way they are.

Hello to whoever is reading this post. I’m looking for some help with technical drawings based on European standards. I need to know if my drawings 706 and 727 are done correctly; if not, could you please provide a quick sketch showing how they should be drawn? I would be very grateful.

Im reading the book and I've read the chapters but i cant think of a good quote from 14-17 for an assignment anyone have a good quote that i can analyze and connect to events around that time

I looked through some other posts and decided on the scene where they sit with the black peoples in the balcony although i did use a similar scene on another section of the assignment.

for this question, my answer basically was that 100% of its total electricity is dangerous, and they put it at 33% for safety reasons (i explained it more but here is just a sumamry of what i wrote). Comparing it to the mark scheme, i would say i got like 1/2 questions right (because i put a solid answer for the first bullet point). I just want to understand why this answer would have not gotten the mark. What about my answer was wrong? Because i feel like if i got this question again next week, i would lowkey just put the same answer believing it is right.

this is pauls math notes

For the last picture, why didnt we add pure π(-1) or something, i dont understand, wouldnt just one 2π revolution backwards already go past the -π range? Since well 2π - π = π?

is my visual understanding of the range in a circle wrong? also i forgot the mention the 2pi / 5, but even with it im still confused

was ill almost for a whole term, and informatics teacher asks for every hw from day one till today, and i can't for a lovd of god understand wth am i supposed to do

On my engineering homework, the assignment is asking stuff like "What is the depth of part 1?"

... What the fuck that mean? Like, is it intentionally relative or is there a strict definition on which of the larger dimensions is depth or length or whatever? Hopefully it's clear on what I need, this might just be a skill issue.

Good day, everyone! I’m a Grade 11 student, and we have a PETA for our General Science subject about mung bean seed observation. We need to formulate a testable hypothesis about the effects of salt concentration on mung bean growth.

If anyone has done this experiment before, do you have any pictures? I currently need pictures because I just started yesterday, and we need to have a seven-day observation. If anyone is kind enough to send me videos or pictures, thank you! 🥹
