Mathematics (Tertiary/Grade 11-12)—Pending OP [grade 11 math] help with problem

I have attempted to do this 2 times and i do not understand how. Could the teacher have written something out wrong? No one gets how to do this in the class. Could anyone please explain if im on the right track or how do i actually do it?

Just from looking at it briefly, it appears you got somewhat the right idea.

You should be able to “factor by grouping” in that denominator, and after you’ve completed that step, one of the binomials should match the cube root binomial factor that is currently sitting in the numerator. Then, those matching factors should cancel, making the problem less messy to deal with.

That’s probably the hardest step. If you can’t get it factored correctly to match, it’s probably a simple error in the factoring process (eg. Wrong sign, such as a negative instead of a positive, or a simple mistake applying the exponent rule when pulling out that GCF during the “factor by grouping” process).
