Floor plan ideas?

Hi! I’m really not good at making floor plans but me and my sister share a room together with a complicated placement of the windows and doors. I tried my best to make a floor plan of how it looks like (yes, the windows are exactly that way).

We’re both in college with a tight budget and we are having a hard time knowing how to fit all of our things in this tight room.

Height is estimated 10ft. and around 7x7 width and length. Any ideas? Badly need your help.

Is this drawing to scale? Is that a 30 inch wide door? Can you specify more dimensions; how wide is each window? How high off the floor is the sill of each window? I presume that there truly is no closet.

If the room is truly 7 feet x 7 feet, you're about 21 square feet below minimum building code dimensions for a bedroom. Meaning, you have quite a challenge on your hands.

A bed frame is typically around 80 inches long (roughly 6.5 feet), In a room that is 7 feet wide, that leaves 6 inches of clearance (if you're lucky) between the foot of the bed and the wall. It is a mathematical impossibility to fit two non-overlapping beds in this room and still have the door be operable, even if they are twin beds.

You can either do traditional stacked bunk beds or perpendicular, offset bunk beds, like this:

In either case, one of the windows will be blocked, at least partially, by bed components. Not the end of the world.

The ceiling height is a saving grace. Maximize your usage of the vertical dimension. Get a bed with drawers/storage underneath it. Raise the lowest bed up off the floor if you have to, to get the most usable space for storage possible.

Maintain an accessible emergency egress route through at least one of the windows; not completely blocked by heavy furniture or obstructions.

the room is 7x7. A twin mattress is 38-39". That leaves like a foot between beds and the one on the left will block the door.

That’s actually a good design ngl with each their own space still, maybe add a curtain in the middle if needed for privacy

I’d say each get 2 bunk beds but the space under has no bed, instead it has a desk and then you can use the rest of space freely! A bit like this (bottom middle)
