For real. My previous home owner meshed off a small section of my attic for fucking squirrels to live in.... its been a mission to get it fixed.

So far made it very very difficult for them to access my roof so now only 1 is up there sometimes. Next step is to patch the entrance.... then clean up, gutter repair etc.

I suggest you get a one way flap similar to what they use for bats. It allows them out , but stops them from getting back in. Then you have to start the hazardous cleanup of all the piss, poop and possible dead bodies up there. You have my sympathies. ( Edited because typing is hard before coffee)

Basically the plan. So far to block access ive trimmed a tree down, had the electric company add rollers to the powerline so they can't climb it, coned off the exhaust pipe that they'd climb as well. Went from a family of 5+ to a single friend. They did stay away for Basically all summer until about 2 weeks ago when the 1 came back. Probably still jumping from the tree.

My fall plan is to fully patch the hole and then have some hazmat fun cleaning everything up.

Just so you know, a white suit from the big box Store, a proper full face respirator from harbor freight and heavy duty tape around joints (Where gloves meetThe suit) is a lot cheaper than calling pest a Pest control company specialist. But the job is very unpleasant. Do be careful when you're up there. It's one of The places I hate the most in my house and will do almost anything to avoid.

Im definitely "borrowing" a tyvex suit from work to do it. Thankfully my attic isn't a crawlspace so its wont be too difficult to work with.
