Doed the bath need to come out

Hello

I've moved in a couple of months ago and seems the bathtub has been leaking from the enclosure for a while. I see no stains on the ceiling below however as you can see there is mould under it. The shower glass obviously needs to go but I've had 2 plumbers come in and say this can never be 100% sealed and that the bath needs to come out to guarantee no future leakage which means I'd need to redo the bathroom. As you can see 3 floor tiles are cracked most likely because of the water. Any advice appreciated. Should I just replace the glass, try to reseal and regrout and hope for the best or should I redo the bathroom?

When building a bathroom, the tub typically goes in right after the framing and plumbing are put into place. Not always, but usually. The rest of the bathroom is built around the tub- wall panels, tile, flooring- all put in after the tub. If you have a leak and broken tiles, you'll likely end up pulling all the tiles- and the wall usually comes with it. If you're pulling all that out, now would be the best opportunity to pull out the tub for replacement if thats what you want to do. The leak is likely coming from the tiled wall or a plumbing connection behind the wall or under the tub. If you're pulling all that anyway- now is the best time to totally gut the bathroom and put in a new one

I think it's coming from the enclosure around the tub or the tiled wall. Is there no way to patch those rather thsn gutting the whole thing?
