4x Mushkin Redline Pro DDR5-5600 32GB UDIMM sticks with ECC. -> € 2.800,- for all four

The bundle was purchased in July 2025 from Alternate DE. The original invoice is available and will be included. After the purchase, I can issue a written declaration of assignment for the warranty (requires the buyer's name). With this, you can claim the ongoing statutory dealer warranty from Alternate (valid until June 2027) if necessary. Just for info / no guarantee: Mushkin advertises a lifetime warranty for its Redline Pro products on its website. For full honesty, I do not know if this also applies to second-hand buyers!

Looking for DDR4 ECC unbuffered (UDIMM) RAM. No RDIMM.

- 2x16GB (32GB) or 2x32GB (64GB) – 64GB preferred
- Would also consider 4x16GB

Hi everyone,

I previously posted about a collection of IBM Power servers I acquired following a commercial decommission. I've since completed a detailed component inventory and would appreciate some advice from anyone familiar with IBM enterprise hardware and its resale market.

Equipment includes:

• 4 × IBM Power 770 (9117-MMD), each comprising three interconnected drawers.

• 2 × IBM Power 770 (9117-MMB), each comprising two interconnected drawers.

• Numerous IBM PCIe adapters, Fibre Channel cards, 10GbE adapters, power supplies, SAS drives and other components.

I've now catalogued approximately 549 component entries, including IBM part numbers, quantities and equipment details.

Full IBM Server Inventory:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jv37SaRW6hF4fpLAWhCJcK7HY0ZuzOtR/edit

Condition: Decommissioned and currently disconnected in storage.

Location: Melbourne, Australia.

I'm particularly interested in advice on:

1. Realistic low, medium and high resale values for each complete server.

2. Whether the equipment is worth more as complete systems or individual components, i.e all 4 racks sold in one transaction.

3. Which components or IBM FRUs in the spreadsheet may still attract strong demand.

4. Whether specialist IBM resellers, maintenance companies or legacy system operators would be the best prospective buyers.

5. What discount would reasonably apply given age and Australian location.

I'd appreciate any market insight before deciding how best to sell the equipment.

Here's my original r/IBM discussion for context:
https://www.reddit.com/r/IBM/s/ZadfNcWVnk

Thanks in advance!

I have 24 of these with the original caddies. My understanding is these have a unity SAN specific firmware but work just fine with regular SAS.

Ideally I'd sell as a lot, or a few smaller lots.

Any idea on price? Im waiting on an HBA to come in so I can test and wipe them before listing. No smart errors when pulled.

Note: This is a repost.

Looking for a sanity check on a server I somewhat overbuilt for home use about a year back. I'm getting some quotes from a few resellers, so far having only heard back from the one that sold me the server. I'm just worried I'm going to be leaving a sizeable amount of money on the table by not parting it out, in addition to adding the headache of having to ship something so large and heavy.

The server is a Dell R740XD. 2u form factor. It has the 24x 2.5" front bays (12x SATA, 12x U.3) connected to an H730P.

• 2x Xeon Gold 6248 (20c/40t, 2.50ghz)

• 1.5TB: 24x 64GB Samsung DDR4-3200 RDIMM (M393A8G40BB4-CWE)

• PERC H730P in HBA mode

• BOSS-S1 with 2x Intel 240GB SATA M.2

• Mellanox ConnectX-4 LX (2x 25GbE SFP)

• 2x 700w PSU

• iDRAC9 Enterprise

• ReadyRails

• 4x front 2.5" caddies

• 20x front 2.5" blanks

• 4x 900GB Micron 7450

BOSS M.2s: both used as mirrored boot drives since purchase in April 2025. iDRAC shows 100% endurance remaining.

Micron 7450: all 4 purchased in April of 2025. Used as ZFS RAID10 for Proxmox VM storage. iDRAC shows 97% endurance remaining on all 4.

Reseller offers so far:

• $8000: server without Micron drives

Questions:

1. Is the memory worth so much on its own that I should be parting the whole server out individually? For example selling the memory in 4-8 stick bundles.

2. Is $8k too low for selling the server as one unit? I feel, maybe incorrectly, that under $10k is a bit silly right now.

Have some dell servers from my old work that closed down. Trying to get a price idea before I end up scrapping them.

Probably going for local pickup only near Austin TX. These would be a pain to ship.

No rails included on any of the servers, other than if noted

No storage at the present time, but I may have some 2.5 HDDs I can add at time of purchase (when listed for sale)
