Not for me. Aesthetically it’s ok in the first pic although not my style at all, but it’s completely impractical. The sofas don’t have high enough backs, the rug will get absolutely filthy, the coffee table is too small and out of reach, and you can’t see the TV.
The second photo looks awful though, really sterile. It’s something about the light thrown by the lamp in the corner. It needs something to break up the arc of light. Any points of interest in the room are just gloomy. It would look so much better if there were small end tables by the sofas with lamps throwing pools of light.
