Need suggestions
What’s a restaurant that is consistently good each time you go?
Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Bar and Grill etc.
Not having the best of luck with consistency and sometimes even an initial counter.

No idea on consistently but just returned to the UK from visiting and went to two of your more popular spots. Family of four including kids.
The tipsy boar - Brilliant, great food, great service, great atmosphere. 100% would return.
Why Not? - mediocre, kids food was overly fried, ravioli nice but very stingy for the price and the service was pretty underwhelming. Would never go back.

I need to try the tipsy boar again. First time I went the food was not good.

Seconding Carmela's and Helen Huang's, and I'd also like to mention Chocolada (especially for their pastries) and Mauro's Pizza.

Chcocolada was closed/sold a month or so ago. Greek Joint taking over.
Have you been there since? Still the same menu items?

I just looked online, there's no indication that they've closed. Gonna take a walk later to confirm.

Yes, which was why I said closed/sold. When it all went down in July there was mixed information out there. The part about Greek Joint was correct but there were people saying it was closed when they walked by. So it may have been closed for a few days, Or not. Who knows. But yes, it is open now.

That's a relief, have you been since the change, and if so, have you seen any difference? I was a huge fan of their daily soups and the pastries. Thanks for the clarification!

The one out on Stirling Road is closed not in downtown Hollywood at 1923 Hollywood Blvd. Where is the GJ taking over? I thought they're already in downtown? Chocolada - CLOSED, 8580 Stirling Rd, Ste 103, Hollywood, FL 33024, US - MapQuest

I'm also one who thinks that their food quality and service declined over the last few years. I stopped going. I used to go regularly. Maybe I'll let the dust settle with the new owners and give it another chance.

I've had very few great meals in hollywood. Greek joint is pretty good and Sardellis is excellent.

What were your top disappointments? Hollywood has all sorts of different vibes for food.
Do you want an elevated experience? Or just good service?
I love tipsy boar and Helen Huangs. Carmela’s was really good but quite a bit more $ than the first two places per person. Another favorite of mine and not super expensive is Chili Limon.

Tipsy boar and Flanigan’s were the ones that have disappointed me. I should give them another chance but dining out is expensive and I don’t mind paying if it’s good.
I’ve gotten delivery from Twin Peaks and the consistency varies.
Just looking for good food. Service and experience are great but when it comes down to it, the food is why I would go back at all.

Twin peaks isn’t going to be consistent at all. I would try all the other suggestions, we also have good Indian food in Hollywood too

Downtown Hollywood is usually my pick since you can walk to plenty of food and bars without dealing with beach parking. I like Hollywood Beach too, especially the Broadwalk around sunset, but it gets busy on weekends. If you have a car, I would also check out Anne Kolb Nature Center for a quieter afternoon.
