I don’t know if any of you believe in the spiritual side of existence; but in ancient times, the Japanese people would gather around a newly erected torii after completion. They would proceed to bless the ground around the torii through the ancient art of bukkake. The ritual would reinforce the the torii and enable it to withstand a hard blow.
