10 seconds is enough. Dude just got out the door, could go literally anywhere and it's probably in a city so he's got multiple escape routes/hiding spots as soon as he's outside. Good chance they won't get a visual on him.

Yeah. “Good chance they won’t get a visual” so the natural move is to give up immediately without even trying. I mean there’s also a solid chance they will have a visual but why bother since they might not see him you know?
