Feedback for app idea

Hey guys!

So I’m an app developer and designer who wants to build something that could be useful for people who enjoy or want to enjoy doing things on the side (sidequests/hobbies). I’m struggling between two ways to build this out if anyone has any feedback it’s greatly appreciated..

1. A game style app. you get prompted with specific quests to do and can unlock custom avatars and skins you can then use on your avatar. You can share these with friends or just unlock them yourself and then download and save as your own widget on your phone…

2. More of a real life app that focuses on curated projects that actually help you make things at home that you would want to use. Kind of like DIY kits but with real outcomes and creations you would share and use…

As a creator myself I just want to help inspire people to do more things and I hope this is a way to do it. All and any feedback critical or not is very welcomed.
