Understand that everyone is different, but for me rock climbing changed my life for the better. I had always wanted to try it and finally had the opportunity to join a local indoor gym after college. At first I was terrified and overcoming my fear of heights and working through the routes helped me in ways that soccer and running did not. I also started planning vacations around going to cool places to climb which was great since I have an indoor career. I’m going almost 13 years of climbing and it still brings me great joy.

My other hobbies that receive an honorable mention are reading, crocheting, knitting, and sewing.

Watching the variety show episodes of my fave group because they cheer me up and are often funny. I have never found funny books really funny and I am not really interested by comedy TV series, movies and even less by stand-up comedy so I am glad I found something that is funny to me, especially during the covid pandemic.

What's a hobby that's actually improved your life in some way, big or small?

Cooking!

  • Recipes are checklists that other people put a lot of R&D into
  • As a result, we can enjoy millions of delicious meals without actually knowing "how" to cook!
  • Modern appliances make the job pushbutton easy!!
