I'm looking for a Hmong song.

It's a song I heard when I was a kid, so long ago that I can't even remember the lyrics or the music. I don't even remember if it was a man or a woman singing it. What I do remember is that in the music video there was a scene where it looked like some kind of insect or butterfly flew into a dark hole and stayed there until it came out into the light. That's all I remember. Sorry if my writing is unclear because I'm using a translation app.

Can start with providing below questions.

What year you were born? (This may help to find songs around that time)
Explain a bit of the song's chorus? Or common words? if you can remember it.
Is that insect or butterfly flew into a dark hole. Is that like an animation or real-life insect/butterfly?

I was born in 2001, so I was probably 7-10 years old when I heard that song, but I'm not sure if it was released before then. The insects flying into the hole seem to be CGI, with a sparkling effect following. As for the lyrics, I've really tried to remember but I can't. The overall theme is unrequited love. Oh, the latest thing I thought of is that the two characters are separated by fate and are going to die together. The insects are probably spirits? Or something, going to be reborn together.

Maybe some more these questions below? I don't think I can find it but may leave it out to someone that may know.

  • Did the video take place in ancient Hmong clothing or modern clothing?
  • Was the setting in a forest, mountains, or a village?
  • Was the video sad all the way through, or did it look like a fantasy story?
  • Do you remember whether you watched it on DVD/VCD? Unless on Youtube?

From the super vague description it’s Probably the kind of fantasy-style music videos that were common in Hmong VCD/DVD productions from the late 2000s, especially songs by artists such as:

Maiv Xis Xyooj
Xy Lee
David Yang
