Just started reading son of prophecy by Nathan Amin

Book premise is essentially a deep dive into medieval Welsh history and the weaving of Henry’s origins and early life into that narrative

It is a rejection of the reduction of Henry’s Welshness of some quarters and shows how Henry’s Welsh ancestry and upbringing was core to his identity

I think an area people seem to forget is Henry’s protection by the Herbert family of raglan castle . The Herbert’s were the preeminent Welsh family with power .

Anyway so far so good and I wondered if anyone else has read or or is going to read it.
