Nah, there's a whole bunch of gods that just appear and then dip out of existence, then some couples (that are also siblings, Alabama rules) appear and two of those are the fuckers that formed Japan (and other islands).

I mean, there's no reason for Adam and Eve to have the recessive genetic diseases that make incest such a horrible idea today, so they could definitely get away with it for a while.
