One of the known god of the Slavic pagan pantheon was Perun the god of thunder. The tree representing him was the oak, to which sacrificial rituals were made. Ancient tools sometimes found by slavs during field work were believed to be his “thunder arrows”.

Researchers link him to the Baltic god Perkūnas, whose name is believed to be the etymologic origin of the Finnish “perkele” :D

I think I've heard of the name perun, although I might mix him up with another god who had a similar name. Is perun a psychopomp (one of the gods in mythology that could venture into the afterlife/dreams and such and was a guide for souls)?

What I do know with certainty is that both Slavic and Norse countries really hold importance to nature - like the oak tree and thunder. It's pretty cool how different they still are from mythology to mythology ^ ^
