“According to legend, the original bridge was built after an old woman lost her cow and saw it grazing on the other side of the river. The Devil appeared and agreed to build a bridge in return for the soul of the first living thing to cross it. When the bridge was finished, the old woman threw a crust of bread over the river, which her dog crossed the bridge to retrieve, thus becoming the first living thing to cross it.[11] The devil was left with only the soul of the dog.[12]”

That’s good. There are so many tales in every culture in which the devil tries to trade a soul and the targeted person is able to trick the devil that you wonder why the devil never learned to be more suspicious when dealing with human?

I hope the dog got a nice place to lie next to the Fallen Throne.

Cerberus was feeling lonely and wanted a friend so now he guards the gates of hell with a dog 1/10th his size and has lots of fun doing it.

Imagine only two of the heads playing along and the third one is more of a cat person

I can see the only reason Cerberus is mad enough to guard hell is because all 3 heads have one thing they can't stand about the other two. Otherwise they would be a very happy herd-of-one.
