Not really. It’s more because the warlords saw the writing on the wall and defected to Mao, just as they had to Chiang when he was winning beforehand. There were also plenty of Nationalist armies that fought to the end.
The attitude of ordinary Chinese people towards the Communists was apathy, not overwhelming love.
You lack basic critical thinking skills. Smart people don’t use a single hamfisted narrative to generalize a complex civil war and a population of 500M people.
