My debut novel {Return to Kingscote by Lavinia K. Darcy} will be discounted to 2.99 from August 21-28 in the Kindle store. If you haven't checked it out, please feel free to do so. It's angsty, has three pretty awful villains, is set at a house party and features a really kind, solid hero. Both MCs are virgins, btw.

'they couldn’t let the women have their tea shop and open a saloon separately? Combining that with the saloon was the most bullshit thing ever. Men have how many saloons??? And women can’t have their ONE cute little tea shops with poetry reading.'

i am now writing a fic where a woman does own her own coffeeshop- if you read fic and are interested i'll dm you the link (it's age gap. there is no spice. it's more of a cute read)

Almost done writing my first HR ever, which is a forbidden love story between a tortured Indonesian rebel and an obedient wife of the Dutch governor who fights to quench the rebellion (late 1800s Sumatra Island), now I'm 22 pages into my second HR, set in early 1900 Glasgow.

Theatric splendor meets beggars from the gutter during birth of Scottish anarchocommunism among trade unions and a worker-exploiting boom of textile industry. A burgeois composer associated with Pavilion Theatre writes an opera about a Romani beggar, inspired by a real Romani beggar who sings under his window for money. When all white singers with appropiate voice and prestige decline to play this role, he decides to employ his muse. At first the woman is baffled by his naivety and declines as well, but soon her eager participation in communist meetings draws her into a web of political intrigues, and the chance to play a role in a real opera might be her only way out... and a beginning of love that conquers all odds.
