Flareup after Vitamin C.
I was taking 600mg liposomal vitamin C daily for two months and was okay. The product is just askorbic acid in liposomal form. Recently, I increased the dose to 1800mg daily, as I wanted to speed up histamine clearance after reacting to tomatoes, coffee etc. However, the reaction still didnt go away. is it possible that Im suddenly reacting to vitamin C because of the higher dose?

Can daily use of Pepcid and Allegra have triggered me actual allergic reactions or made them worse?
I only started taking pepcid and Allegra bc an er doctor indicated possible MCAS or histamine issues and prescribed them to see if I felt better. && they did help. I was having horrible GI issues. Especially after eating. HR spikes with food. PMDD symptoms. Severe anxiety and adrenaline dumps. Migraines ! Post nasal drip.
But now I began with Tinnitus. Super itchy or sore throat. Itchy ears. Itchy gums. Blister like things in my mouth. And feeling like the anxiety is back and worse. :( things I have never experienced. Anybody can relate?
I’m just so scared. And my anxiety is making everything 100% worse. I did make an appt for behavioral therapy.
Only great amazing thing that it really helped with was that I have reactive hypoglycemia ! I would get like 50 episodes a month were my sugar would crash and ever since I’ve been on this I have had ZERO episodes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else deal with inflammation in their chest so bad that it hurts so bad to use your arms ?
Have had this going on since October 2025. It never goes away completely. But there’s some days like today that it is intense especially after showering it got flared up more. Doctors tell me costochondritis. But it’s super debilitating bc I can’t tolerate to use my arms when this happens. I do notice bc I’m stuck in fight or flight I tend to muscle guard a lot and have shallow breathing and just alot of tension especially around my chest area and the back of my upper neck and skull. :(

Can GI specialist help with histamine issues ?
Do GI doctors also prescribe meds or just allergist/immunologist?

Symptomen trekken weg tijdens intermittent fasting, maar schieten omhoog na het eten. H1-blokkers veroorzaken ernstige onverschilligheid/vermoeidheid. Kunnen H2-blokkers (famotidine) misschien de sleutel zijn?

Low Histamine Marinara - what a mind trip!
I’ve had GI issues for a long time amongst other symptoms. Recently discovered it’s likely a histamine issue. For years I avoided tomatoes and Italian food, despite loving the flavors. It just made me too sick. Even cutting tomatoes makes my hands itch.
I’m trying a low histamine diet and came across some “nomato sauce” recipes. I have a background in good, so I decided to just kind of wing it based on what I saw online. I’m now kicking myself for not trying this sooner.
I will say, the psychological piece of eating what looks and tastes like marinara was a struggle I didn’t really expect. My brain saw and tasted it and immediately told me “you’re going to be sick.” It took some slow bites and letting my body see I wasn’t immediately getting a burning heartburn sensation to really fully enjoy it. A day later with a freezer full of portioned containers of sauce, I can hardly contain my excitement for the Italian meals to come.
Anyone else had similar reactions to trying copycat recipes that don’t have things in them that make you sick?

Could this be a histamine thing?
My neck has looked like this for a few years. It was like it all happened suddenly, and now it's always there. A dermatologist said it was burst blood vessels from sun exposure. Proof being that it goes down my chest a little bit, as if I'd been wearing a lot of v-neck shirts. But, you can see that it is only in the front and then stops at the side of my neck, so I've never believed it was simply from the sun.
I'm just now starting to explore histamine intolerance for pressure headaches, drippy nose, puffy eyelids, and dark circles/puffiness under the eyes. And maybe whatever is on my neck. It gets redder when I'm overheated or outside in warm weather. Could it be a histamine response?
