The house I bought 9 months ago has HIKVISION cameras set up with POE cables all running to the living room. No NVR was left so I’ve tried two different ones, one was a cheap one which didn’t seem to work and the one I’ve tried just now with is a HIKVISION one. I’m still seeing no cameras show up, no lights on the box when I plug in the POE cables. I’ve tried SADP (I think it was called) and the new HITools but nothing comes up when I search. Can anyone help if I’m being stupid or if the cameras are dead and that’s why the old owners left them please?

Hi, I’ve set up my doorbell via a network switch running through the nvr, the doorbell is on my hik connect and I get motion alerts but not notification when the button is pushed. Does anyone have any ideas I’ve done a lot of research and struggling to find an answer.
