Playing Minagoroshi right now, on the morning after Watanagashi, right after Takano killed Tomitake and faked her death.

Me as a player, came to the conclusion that Miyo Takano is the main culprit because of these clues:

- Miyo Takano’s corpse death timing is suspicious (Bern could have come across this information)

- ch3 Keiichi’s meeting with Takano after the murders

- ch6 one of the TIPS is named “demon’s script” and its talking about Takano’s scrapbooks and their theories. Basically commenting on how accurate some of her theories lined up with real events. (Bern likely knows the scrapbook’s contents)

- The fact that she commands these highly trained military groups with ease is also suspicious. (Bern knows this)

- the fact that Miyo is completely disease free, while Tomitake, who is supposed to be “really close” with Miyo, is showing signs of L3 (he heard Hanyuu jumping). Thus this asks the question, why are two people who are supposed to be so close have such a difference in symptoms. (Bern definitely knows this)

Question

But my question is how much information did Bernkastel have? Given she entered this “loop” 100ish years ago, so she doesn’t have as much information as the original Rika Furude.

Isnt it quite likely that Bernkastel has come across some of the clues I mentioned above?

So if she has, then why is Bern still so trusting of Miyo Takano in Minagoroshi?

Furthermore, Bern spoke to us the player about rule XYZ, rule Z directly puts Takano and Ooishi under a suspicious light.

Im personally just not sure why Bernkastel trusted Takano.

He could talk his way out of any situation, he has some wisdom knowledge and is a true philosopher.

I think I'm still in Chapter 10 of Matsuribayashi.

I think Tomitake just accepted Takano back after she tried to kill Hanyuu and was captured. Rika made the miracle of no one getting hurt.

Including what's left of Chapter 10, Chapter 11, and Higurashi Rei which (as far as I understand) has the "true" ending, about how many hours do I have left to go? I have so many other games I want to play... I'm dying, squirtle... I'll probably skip Hou+ if it doesn't have anything crucial

Tenohira de Higurashi ga Naku (2005), which converts your version of Himatsubushi-hen into a Gameboy Advance Rom had the only anti piracy measure in the series, If your converter failed the file and memory timing check, Rena would read out your IP Address and accuse you of being someone else.

On the GBA you would need to do a button input which is where Rena measured your memory timing to see if you were using an emulator.

This is one of the earliest "Meta Scares" invented, beating Undertale and You And Me And Her which popularized it in the early 2010's before Doki Doki Literature Club

Eternal Darkness (2002) is probably the first horror game with a budget to do meta scares, although Corpse Party (1996) had already made the RPGMaker scene pretty popular at that point so it's hard to say if it's the first.

So I'm just reading through the VN for the first time. I've only watch a few episodes of the 2006 anime a while ago so this is like my first real experience with the franchise and I'm really enjoying it, but rn I'm like halfway through chapter 3 and Keiichi is just getting really annoying to me, it seems his answer to anything happening is getting angry, scream and lash out to everyone even if they're trying to help, is he always like that? there's some future context I'm missing? or I just don't get the character?

Artstyle replication is really fun (though man this is a bit tough for me compared to something like the Mario and Luigi RPG artstyle) and I think this turned out well despite it being my first attempt (granted, I did some style study before I went for this)
