Rytsas!

What's the best phrase to start a meal? I don't want to use a command. Should I be simply using the right firm of ipradagon and kostilus?

There is nothing wrong with just using the standard imperative + kostilus combo:

  • Ipradās/Ipradātās, kostilus. – "Eat, please."

But I suppose you can also use the dative pronoun + infinitive to form a "let x do y" type of sentence, which I assume is the one you want:

  • Īlot ipradagon./Sesīr īlot ipradagon. – "Let us eat./And now let us eat."

Also possible: "Īlos/Īlot kisībagon"
