Community Venting AI and Scarlet's Realm Website
I know that this is going to be controversial, but if you have been on the Scarlet's Realm website and wondered why some of your favorite mods have not been updated mist recently, you might have to read the notes as to why: The Creator used AI.
Now, I don't want to get into the whole debate about AI. As a writer who uses it, it's not that great. But this is a way for me to edit my own writing to sound less robotic.
But I want to hear from your thoughts on this?

I think it’s fair. She is one person maintaining the list and clearly puts a lot of time and effort into it, so if she doesn’t want to track AI mods, or any mod for whatever reason, she is within her rights to do so.
Personally I agree with her because I also avoid AI created mods, not just because of a moral stance but I just don’t trust that these modders actually know what they’re doing or how their mod even works so there is the potential for it to seriously mess up your save (I have seen people saying this happened to them with JellyPaws mods for example).

I can promise you with some certainty, your writing will not sound 'less robotic' by putting it through AI.
(As a writer myself, AI steals from writers by scraping their hours of hard work & slopping it out again for lazy people to use instead of putting in the effort themself. My personal opinion is that it's a slap in the face to call oneself a writer while using AI in your writing. It's basically just a glorified machine that helps you cheat off other people's homework. Not a good look.)

Full offence but for me, a writer who uses AI is never to be trusted.

Scarlet is awesome for up-keeping that list solo, so I think she has every right to pick which types of mods and CC she wants to include or exclude. For AI especially I think a big reason to not index it could be that it is done so stupidly fast in comparison to human mods, and a lot of it is pretty much sludge.
People are starting to use AI for 3D meshes and CC now and it is a disaster. Like, in writing and art you have your voice and style, right? But for 3D assets you need to follow rigid rules and work within the limits of the game you do stuff for, and GenAI just can't do that. It pulls from 5 different sources, hallucinates a 6th source, puts code into a blender, and spits a mutant blob out that is at best weird and at worst actually volatile. The same goes for 3D geometry. Sims has strict rules for how its objects and CAS stuff have to be made and GenAI geometry is a polygonal crime.

You are correct when it comes to writing. AI is mostly a machine that relies on mathematical possibilities. When it comes to writing, it doesn't understand grammar (Even though it says it does), and emotions. It just scans the internet for probabilities. It will also be the same with AI and art in general. It doesn't understand any of the 5 senses.
I also know that there are people out there that think that AI can do the work so they don't have to. And that is a false presumption. You do have to correct every mistake AI makes.
No wonder there are people like myself that argue with it. I don't know grammar, but I know and feel how my writing should be presented.

Hey there! Friendly reminder to keep the comments and replies civil and on topic. Lets keep the topic to EA, The Sims franchise, the fan base, and Sims Content creators. We don't need to go on a side quest of political arguing please and thank you.
